Dance me to the end of time

Dear Jon I decided to visit your portfolio after a kind comment of you on one of my photos, and I became delighted with your work, specially this directory of abstracts. I have to say that I agree with Jack concerning your skills on this kind of work. I love them all in general specially this one and the other called "À sa toilette". Very interesting the composition and title (some times is very important on a photo). I will follow you, for sure, and I am anxious to see more about you. Regards José Cruz

    Power station

Hi Jan Very good composition and light. I like the contrast between the movementt of smoke and the tranquility of everything else. The B&W fits perfectly. Great Shot José

    DSC_3861

Very good photographic exercise, simmetry, perspective, contrast, crop etc. I like the deep contrast between the collumns and the black, it is strong and results very well. Definitely the small window (or door) at the end, is one of the main keys of this photo, being so small, its capacity to capture our attention is tremendous! It is placed on the horizontal simmetry axel, but not on the vertical one, and thus, avoiding the center, contributes to a better balance. José Cruz

    After shopping... 113

Hi Ruud When I saw this photo I said: "What is supposed to say about such trivial thing?" Maybe the challenge is that, try to find what made me write these words. First I consider this a very good photo, regarding the technical aspects (light, framework etc.), second there are a lot of interesting things which made me to decide to do this critique: I like the way the wall and the jacket patterns match, this is one of the reasons this photo works well; Every subject on the photo is pointing to the right side of the photo, the arm, the hand the head of the man, the seat belt, the rear door, even the bag is turned to the same side. Very well composed. Is interesting what we can find on a "trivial" image, and after spending some time to look at it, we can understand the reasons why sometimes simple subjects please us. Good shot Ruud, and well posted. Regards José
