1.
Hi Folks,
Would appreciate your help identifying this Iris growing in our garden here in Visalia, California.
Thank you very much!

 2.
Hi Folks,
Right off, I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me identify birds and plants that I have asked about in this forum. Since my partner's passing, I have often had problems identifying the flowers and plants in his gardens. He rattled off the Latin names like they were second nature to him, which I suppose they were.
This is a picture of a bedding plant and variegated geranium in our front garden. They don't receive much full sun at all, and flourish every Spring. Actually the geraniums seem to make it through all four seasons here in the Central Valley of California.
Could anyone provide the latin names for these plants? I design note card sets featuring flowers and critters from our gardens. The proceeds go to help our local garden club in its community activities. So, any information will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Rafi in Visalia

Just wondering if any of you kind folks could help me identify it.

Thank you.

 9.
Hi Foks,
So, it turns out that most of the photos of birds that I submitted for help in identifying were of Green Herons at various stages of growth. But now I've taken a photo of a bird that I can't begin to identify. Nothing in my Central Valley field guides looks familiar.

Could someone please tell me what this bird might be ?

Thank you !

 10.
So, looking at some fieldguides, it seems obvious to me that this is a mature Green Heron. Can you determine the sex? For purposes of identifying the Heron on a notecard, which is more correct –adult or mature, or something else. Thank you folks so much for all of your help.

Thanks,

Rafi

 11.
Hi Folks,

Could anyone identify this little guy or gal for me? And what is its sex? Thank you so much for all of your help identifying birds in my neighbourhood. This bird was near our pond here in Visalia, California.

Thank you very much!

 12.
Thanks for your help identifying the Great Egret! Now I'd like to know if someone can help identify this little bird carrying a twig up and down the path to our pond here in Visalia California. Can you tell me if it's a male or female?

 13.
Hi Folks,

I took this foto of a menacing-looking Egret across from our pond here in Visalia California. Is this a Great Egret, and can you tell me if it is male or female? I've looked in various guides, but am just not sure. This is going to be on a garden club notecard so I want to be correct.

Thank you; you've all been so helpful before!

 15.
Hi Folks !
I took this photo of a very cranky-looking bird here in Visalia (Central Valley) California several years ago. I am doing a set of bird photo cards for a friend, and I'd like to know as much as possible about this particular bird. He or she bird just plopped down in the upper branches a peach tree by our pond. Can anyone of you ladies and gentlemen tell me what this bird is? Sex ? (of the bird,) Range?
Here is the link to the photo :
http://www.photo.net/photo/17945525
Thanks so much for any help!
