Actually I thought about Time Machine.. But It makes the file unreadable, and I also want it to ONLY copy Pictures folder.

Hello guys.

I just purchased a NAS from Synology.

I am a photographer, who is pretty RAMBO when it comes to backup.. Until now , my backup is terrible. So I purchased a NAS.

My plan is: From my MAC, I want to take backup of the whole "pictures" folder. I DO not want to use software that archive and make the files unusable, for example Crashplan.

I want the files to be like a "raid 1", where the files get mirrored over to my NAS. Is there a backup software that does this on the MAC? In that way,I can accsess the files on the NAS and use them from any machine.

My next step will be to run crashplan on my server, where I will take Crashplan backup of the whole NAS.

So my question , is there any software that can do what I ask, that can actually "mirror" the files over to the NAS? ITs important that I do not have to COPY/REPLACE every time. I want it to just copy over edited files,or new files.

Hello. I just got my carry speed With the c4 plate. But i Wonder how people store their cameras With the ballhead mounted in their bag?
Is it any baga that actually place jour camera vertical!
I am A bit worried that the camera will only stand on the ballhead mount
-

Thank you August.

I bought this: http://www.carryspeed.com/products/fs-slim-camera-sling-strap-with-f-1-foldable-mounting-plate

Looks must more reliable than the Rs-7.

Anyway, is there a way to double hook this ? So like if the ballhead fails, there is another connector that holds the camera?

I have seen people making some kind of cabin hook.

The Acra swiss plate on this strap is AWESOME, hope it works with my Benro head.

Hi everyone.

Today I own a BlackRapid Rs-7. I love the concept, but think this strap make the camera dingle "hang loose" to much and find my self always holding it. I have also read a lot of threads about the strap failing and the camera dropping?!?!?

So, which strap do you reccomend? Been looking at the Carry speed, what do you think?

Just wanted to inform everyone that I received my Benro yesterday! First impressions:

Awesome steady and cool looking tripod

-

Thank you.

A black rapid has a thumb screw(that you screw in cameras bracket mount), on thtat screw you can hook the cabin crook thats used to connect your black rapid to your camera.

-

I just received my Benro today, and I gotta tell you, it feels great. Really top notch quality.

But is there any way I can use a blackrapid with the bracket?

I see there is a screwdriver screw on the bracket. Is using the original screw the smartest thing to do? OR can I infact use a cabin hook compatible screw, if so where can I find it?

Thank you for follwing my thread!

I´ve searched the forums for EVER and have found many threads of people actually comparing the Gitzos and Benro together, they own both.

Everyone has reported likeness, and there is a rumor on the internet that Gitzo started a factory in China, and the owner of that factory started their own company and used Gitzos drawings.

I am not going to speculate on that, just pointing out why people think they are pretty much the same.

Even though, I wont be using any 400+ mm lens on it, so I guess my tripod is MORE than enough.

-

Okay guys I have changed my purchase;

Basicly, I am very pleased with the seller of the Benro tripods, and have heard a lot of positive things about them. I think the Gitzo is like a Rolex, you can pay half the price and get the same quality in other watches. Maybe not 100% match, but pretty much the same inside pieces.

Anyways, thats just what I think, and since I have read so many places that the gitzo copies(benro) almost are the same, I went for them.

I had a difficult time choosing tripod, but I wanted a carbon, stable, and without a center column. Why no center column? Because I have read that it greatly increases stability and I really want to be able to go low, really low.

I went for Benro C3780T with a B3 ballhead. I have also read alot about people not reccomending the ballheads, but that was before the new release. After that, I find only positive feedback.

Anyways I will be using this for a 5D mark 3 with a 70-200 at the heaviest, belive that it´s MORE than enough.

300 grams lighter than the 055XPROB combo and I belive a bit shorter when folded.

The 055 is 3,0 total the Benro combo is 2,7.

So what do you guys think? Really looking forward to receiving it, besides the flip mechanism on the manfrotto looks awefull compared to the screw mechanism :D

-

Which one of them?

-

THank you!

Actually, my main problem is that the 055 is allu and not carbon.. I find my self rarely using it, and almost only when I do landscapes where I drive out to do just that.

In my mind right now; I want a light tripod, but still GREAT stability, as my mind is in total lock up on image quality.

The tripod should also be possible to have in the luggage, so I actually bring that damn legs to my vacations :-)

Okay actually i am considering 2580 with a b2 head now,
what You think?
-

Maybe this will be betteR:

-

Thank you for your answer.

What I am most concerned about is vibrations, and long exposures, since I have this HUGE 055xPROB today.

I have a 5D mark 3 and my heaviest lens is the 70-200 L

-

Hello!

I have bought myself the Benro C2192TB1, but it isnt shipped yet and now I am unsure if it´s the right tripod for me..

Currently I own a 055xPROB but that thing is way too heavy and big to carry around, I find myself not using it enough.

So I am looking for a tripod(carbon) that is light, not too big to carry and definitly stable(since that is the main reason we need a tripod, to get better quality in shots).

What do you think, should I cancel the Benro?

-

Hello guys..

Okay, this is the case; all bags I get seems to be made for a XXL camera or something(even though I think my mark 3 is pretty XXL).

Every bag I get the camera sits so loose at the top of the bag, any tips?

See attached image:

Looks like a XXXL sweater on a XXXS boy..

Dark slide?

-

I actually have the 100mm

-

Ye the Canon cap.

So basicly I can just buy a 75mm lens cap, and it will fit?

-

Hello guys

I just received my Hitech modular with 77m adapter, but I can not fit the lens cap with the adapter mounted....Anyone got a reason for this?

Thanks

-

Ah, I have fullframe... One more question, how do people get this "pink" colours when using 10 ND step down filter? Is it the sunset?
PLike this one?

Do you mean removing the two outer filter holders?

-

Thanks!

Does the Hitech filter fit in this holder?

I think goodsync looks great and have sine questions:
Does it actually support all file formats? For example if i select the pictures folder: Will it sync all files inside?
When you sync next time, does it automaticly detects whats there? So it doesnt copy everything again?
Does it support nas?(synology)
Does it support automatic schedueled backup?
Does it support auto resume When you put the Mac to sleep?
