The new entry-level DSLR from Canon, the EOS Rebel T6 camera makes it easy to share photos and videos to social media sites via compatible smartphones, mobile devices, and Canon’s Connect Station CS100.

The Canon EOS Rebel T6 camera includes new automatic modes for beginner photographers. The camera’s new “white priority” Auto White Balance setting enables photographers to take photos with a more neutral tone when shooting under incandescent lighting. The Scene Intelligent Auto mode analyzes the image, accessing faces, colors, brightness, moving objects, contrast and camera stability. Then it chooses the exposure and enhancements best for that scene so photographers can focus on composition. The new ‘Food Mode’ enhances the color and brightness of food images while simultaneously making the images ready to share. Other fully automatic exposure modes include portrait, night portrait, landscape, sports, and close-up. In addition to the automatic modes, the new Canon EOS Rebel T6 camera provides complete manual exposure and focus controls plus RAW image output.

<a href="http://www.sigmaphoto.com/">Sigma</a> has announced the release of its new Sigma Global Vision lens converter, <a href="http://www.sigmaphoto.com/mount-converter-mc-11">the Mount Converter MC 11</a>, for Sony E-mount, full frame and APS-C sensor cameras. The new MC-11, will allow Sony camera operators to utilize 19 Global Vision lenses in Sigma Canon Mount (EOS) and Sigma Mount (SA).

The MC-11’s LED display tells Sony users if the attached Sigma lens is compatible and if the MC-11 needs to be updated for that lens. Its internal control data system stores information on each compatible Sigma lens, and automatically optimizes performance of AF drive, aperture control and other critical lens functions. The Sigma MC-11 converter can be updated with the latest compatible lens information using the <a href="http://www.sigmaphoto.com/service-support/product-software-and-firmware-download">Sigma Optimization Pro</a> software and <a href="http://www.sigmaphoto.com/accessories/lens-customization/sigma-usb-dock">Sigma USB Dock</a> (sold separately). The internal control data system on the MC 11 also maintains continuity with camera functions that regulate brightness and correct transverse chromatic aberration, distortion, and more. Compatibility with both Sigma lens OS and Sony in-camera OS, provides correction of camera shake and other stability issues. When used with in-camera stabilization, MC-11 enables angle shake correction in the lens. The integrated flocking helps prevent internal reflections and reduction in lens performance. The MC-11 also retains relevant EXIF data so that users can analyze every detail of their lens setting.

Canon has announced today that the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 Professional Inkjet Printer will be released at the end of this month!

The imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 Professional Inkjet Printer will be the first in a new series of printers from Canon. These imagePROGRAF printers will have the recognizable Canon red line across the printer which reflects Canon’s EF L-Series lenses, indicating that this printer is the perfect partner for Canon’s other high end professional products. The print head on the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 is 50 percent larger than the Canon PIXMA PRO-1 printer, which not only increasing the number of nozzles per channel but also means that high-resolution is maintained at faster print speeds. The new print head also includes improvements to lessen clogs and cut down on cleaning cycles and wasted ink.

Other innovations included with the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 are new inks, a new processing engine and printer architecture. Thanks to the LUCIA PRO 11-color plus Chroma Optimizer ink system, the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 has an increased color gamut of up to 19 percent over the PIXMA PRO-1 printer. The new processing engine and printer architecture enable high-speed processing of image data for demanding workflows and control the balance of inks and the precise placement of ink droplets for accurate ink ejectionand improved color evenness.

The imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 comes with it’s own software to complete the process. Print Studio Pro, a plugin for Adobe® Photoshop®, Adobe Lightroom® and Canon Digital Photo Professional exports files straight to the printer. Additional software includes, Accounting Manager, which allows users to manually enter their costs of ink, paper, etc. and therefore, keep track of their total printing expenses.

Lexar announced several new products with expected releases this October and November.

128GB Capacity of Professional 2000x SDXC UHS-II Card

This new 128GB card in Lexar's Professional 2000x series will be the fastest UHS-II card available at this capacity. It can capture and transfer high-quality photos as well as 4K, 1080p full-HD, and 3D video. The card has read transfer speeds up to 300MB per second and write speeds up to 260MB per second, and it is backwards compatible.

Lexar introduced the Professional 2933x XQD 2.0 card, which is the fastest XQD card currently available. Both the 2933x and 1400x were designed to capture 4K video and high-quality images, and have read transfer speeds up to 2933x (440MB per second) and 1400x (210MB per second) respectively. They support PCI Express Gen 2 and USB 3.0 interfaces. Furthermore, these cards are resilient in unideal environments (water, vibration, shock, and temperature).

JumpDrive M20c and M20i

The Lexar JumpDrive M20c and M20i are the newest flash drives to the mobile USB 3.0 line. The M20c features Type-C and USB 3.0 connectors with up to 150MB per second read and 60MB per second write speeds. The M20i is designed for iOS devices (free file management app available on the App Store) and has Lightning and USB 3.0 connectors with read speeds up to 95MB per second and write speeds up to 20MB per second. Both flash drives are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices.

This year's creative conference, <a href="http://max.adobe.com/">Adobe MAX 2015</a>, has come to a close but it included many exciting announcements!

Morisawa, the premier type foundry in Japan, is the newest partner to join the <a href="http://blog.typekit.com/2015/10/05/premier-japanese-type-foundry-morisawa-joins-typekit/">Typekit Library.</a> Morisawa represents the industry standard for Japanese typesetting, and this new partnership will make dozens of quality Japanese fonts available to Typekit and Creative Cloud users.

<a href="http://landing.adobe.com/en/na/products/creative-cloud/comet/229818-notifyme.html?scid=social52541916">“Project Comet”</a> is a brand new all-in-one, cross-platform UX design tool for designing and prototyping websites and mobile apps. Project Comet will be available for the public to preview in early 2016.

In Mobile News, apps Photoshop Fix and Adobe Capture CC are both available now.

Photoshop Fix enables users to retouch and restore images on a mobile device. The simple, intuitive touch interface makes Photoshop desktop features, like the Healing Brush and Liquify, available for real retouching work on iPad and iPhone.

Adobe Capture CC, combines the capabilities of Adobe Brush, Adobe Shape, Adobe Color and Adobe Hue into one app. It includes a captured design asset that can be used as a brush, shape or color theme for professional work.

Adobe also announced several updates coming to Creative Cloud Desktop that included but were not limited to... New Artboards in Photoshop CC with capabilities to precisely place elements and layers for easier visualization and the first version of Design Space, a streamlined design-centric experience, that will be made available to all customers. In Premiere Pro, new comprehensive native format support for editing 4K-to-8k footage; and advances color, with support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) workflows. Also, improved color and adjustments in After Effects CC. And New Touch capabilities will be introduced, with Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC and Character Animator optimized for Surface Pro, Windows tablets or Apple track pad devices.

Also discussed at the conference, Sneaks! These sneak previews are of innovative technologies being developed. These features are not currently included in Adobe’s tools, but could be incorporated in the future.

The Sneaks that were unveiled included Monument Mode, a feature to remove obstructions from your landmark photos, Perspective Dollhouse, a tool to capture perspective, and Project Faces, which would allow you to create your own font. PIX2015, Photo Interactive Experience, will be held for the very first time this year on October 6 and 7 in Seattle, WA. The expo, by DPReview in association with Amazon and the Photo Marketing Association, will include a live event with speakers, demos, and hands-on shooting opportunities at Seattle Center’s Expo Hall and McCaw Hall in Seattle. In addition, the expo will be live-streamed with interactive features for viewers all over the world.
