  1. Hi,

I photographs with a L-Bracket mounted on tripod for horizontal and vertical shoots.

I want to purschase the Canon RF 70-200. I know that it is sold with a collar to fix it on a tripod. My question is simple, with this collar can we position the camera horizontally and also vertically? Can we rotate the camera on the collar ?

Any help will be appreciated !

  2. Hi evryone,

Today come out two Canon RF lenses : the 16-35 and 24-70

These glasses look good, tests should arrive on the internet by the hundreds ... they have AF Nano USM technology.

However, I read a few times, there were several people who were skeptical about the Nano USM technology compared to the old USM technology (this one is on the RF 50, 85 and 28-70), for example I have read: "It's good for the speed and precision of the AF... but it's a disaster in case of failure where the objective becomes INOPERABLE .... or IRREPARABLE when this zoom will be discontinued. We would not say anything about the risk of haircuts that this type of lenses could know. "

What do you think about that ? Is Nano USM hard to fixe ? Is this a little crazy?

    All comment will be appreciated.

  3. Thanks for answering Ken. I have already work with the TS-E 24 few year ago, and I was very satisfied with the type of glass. So 50 and 90 for the thing I want to do will be fine... I also hope someone who used the combination pass here :)
  4. Hi everyone,

I would like to use the Canon TS-E 50mm Macro and Canon TS-E 90mm Macro lenses on my EOS R case, with the ring. At first sight, this lenses are perfectly compatible and will work well.

Can some of you confirm this? I havn't yet bought the lenses and this will be a big investment (!!!), so I prefere to check that there is no anomaly before :)

All comments will be appreciated !

  5. I very good point ! Thanks for your answer and details.

Nice to be able to compose and shoot directly in the correct aspect ratio.

As we hear on mirrorless reviews « what you see is what you get » even if I shoot 4x3 !

It is the same when I shoot RAW on 5D IV : I have alway the full native 3x2 RAW but pre cropped on Lightroom, or Camera RAW.

  6. Hello everyone,

With the Canon EOS R, is it possible to have the aspect ratio that we chose directly in the electronic viewfinder, to see and shoot directly with the right ratio?

For example, if I choose the format 4x3, will the viewfinder show me a 4x3, or still the native 3x2 ?

If this option exist, it will be extra.

I shoot on Canon 5DIV and this option is only on the back screen (for 4x3 ratio, the screen add black mask on the right and left of the screen... but not in the reflex viewfinder).

    Thanks for your help,

    Louvant

  8. Hello everyone,

I have just purchased an Eizo CG2420.

I want to calibrate it with ColorNavigator for a photograpic use.

1 / But when I create a "New target" in ColorNavigator, I do not know which Gamut to choose in the first step.

Is it better to choose "native Monitor" or should I choose Adobe RGB 1998?

I know that Photoshop works first with the color space of the ICC profile integred in the file I open (and this regardless of the gamut of my screen!) ; and that lightroom works the RAW files with ProPhoto color space before exporting to a sRGB or Adobe 1998 file.

2 / In the last step, ColorNavigator proposes 3 "Priority".

What is the difference between "Gray Balance" and "Standard"? What is the best choice to work on "basic" photographic post-production of RAW files without print ?

    Any help will be welcome,

    Laurent

  9. <p>Hi,<br>

I got an old flash monolight Elinchrom Professional Studio Flash System 500. It should have easily over 20 years of age and everything works well, but I have one important problem : I can't find the sync output/socket to put the cable on the back of the flash ! After carrefully looking around, could not find where to put it ! Do you have any idea how to plug the cable?</p>

<p>The flash and his control panel back:<br>

  10. <p>Thank you for your answers.<br>

It's indeed: flashs 430EX II and 600EX RT, my apologies. I finally find, as you say, you should use the flash with the optical transmission. Just put the flash 600EX RT master (who did not apparently possible with 430EXII only "slave" available), then put the 430EX II in "slave" mode (To do this, you must press more than 2 seconds the right button with the logo of a small light/storm, that's it I could not do! Press over two damn seconds!) and here the two flashes are granted!</p>

  11. <p>Hi everyone,<br>

<br />I have 2 Canon Flashes (630EX-RT and 480 II) and a 5D. I would like to make an image with two flashes simultaneously. I can not configure the first flash to be the "master" of the other. Is it possible that the flash mounted on my camera fires the second flash? If so, how, what mode used?<br>

    <br />Thank you to enlighten me :)<br>

  12. <p>Hello,<br>

I wish to know the shortcut to reverse the function of brush in CS6, to easily "+" or "-" in my layers merge.<br />In this <a href="http://vimeo.com/46949010">video</a> you can see that it adds or removes parts of the image with his brush.<br>

In other way, I found the shortcut to quickly change the size: Alt + Ctrl + Click and move the mouse.<br>

<br />Thank you for your advice it will be appreciated,<br>

  13. <p>Yes, thanks for your answers.<br />I made a mistake, profile Zeiss 18mm exists in Lightroom.<br>

When I correct my RAW picture, Lightroom recognizes the lens from .CR2 file and corrects very well deformation. By cons when I merge my 3 raw images for HDR , lightroom does not recognize the lens from de HDR .tiff file.<br>

So I do my optical corrections directly on the .CR2 files before the merger.<br>

PS: With my 17-40 L, an HDR image was still recognized by Lightroom, which is not the case with the Zeiss, but it is not very serious)</p>

  14. <p>Hello,<br /> <br />I just bought a Zeiss 18mm F3.5 lens for my Canon 5D Mark II.<br />I use Lightromm 4.3 to correct and edit my images. But my Zeiss is not recognized by Lightroom, so I do not have the opportunity to correct distortion and vignetting of the lens. How can I solve this problem? Should I download a lens profil or other thing? I found this <a href="/bboard/I%20found%20this%20list%20on%20the%20Adobe%20site,%20which%20confirms%20that%20the%20Zeiss%20is%20supported%20(#%20http:/helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/lens-profile-support-lightroom-4.html%20main_Zeiss)">list</a> on the Adobe site, which confirms that the Zeiss is supported.<br /> <br />Thank you in advance for your advice,<br />L</p>
