Using a 35mm film SLR with a super wide angle lens helps.
I saw Gregory's pic. ( http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=1652484) and my guess is that even though a super wide angle lens was used to take the picture, the digital 1.6x magnification factor kicked in for the digital camera.

Don, it isn't a true "B&W" picture. It was shot in color and then I used PS to desaturate.
