I was up on Spring Mountain Road in Napa Valley this morning after breakfast in 2005, a very, very wet March. 13 inches in 24 hours in Northern California. I was looking for a river, or creek shot inspired my all the rain and the rumble of this creek. It was dark, and I had just enough time to get in, and out before the next deluge. Velvia 100 with this one. I sometimes wonder had I had Velvia 50 loaded how this would have turned out, but I'm happy with it.© ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. The wind, and cold up there that day was so intense, it was like the Alaskan jet stream was right on it. I'm amazed this picture happened. I went through a lot of tissue paper for my running nose, and my fingers were stiff. Was very challenging to maintain focus to get the shot. On my way back home after this trip, and eager to get in the last shot of the day, I'm glad the light worked in my favor here, because I remember all the times it had not. Two takes to get this, one lens choice the 105mm 2.4, Velvia 50, B+W Kaesemann Polarizer, with a Lee 81B. In and out of there in 10 minutes.
