Thank you Ilkka.

    D500 or D750

This is off subject but may have to do with decision making. The Nikon DX 35 f/1.8 that I have has been a mystery to me. What is the difference between it and the regular FX 35. The focal length doesn't change or does it, I know that an f/2.8 DX lens actually renders a f/4 aperture equal to FX. So does Nikon make the f/1.8 on the 35 DX a true f/1.8?

    D500 or D750

Thank you for the responses. I can see the benefit of having identical bodies, and the D7200 is appealing. The sports is more of a hobby, my son races bicycles so naturally I take photos of that sport.

    D500 or D750

I know about the extra cost of the full frame and am willing to invest....if the image quality would justify it. I'm a enthusiast wanting to go pro and would like to know if FX is really necessary. I guess I could rent before buying, just thought I would get opinions as well.

    D500 or D750

I have a d7000 and 35 f/1.8 DX, 85 f/1.8 G, sigma 50-150 f/2.8, Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, Tokina 11-16 f/2.8, Tamron 70-300 f/4-5.6, want to get second body and more lenses for upcoming wedding and portrait assignments, can't decided whether to get the new DX beast (I shoot some sports as well) or step to FX with the D750.

  6.
I currently own a Nikon D7000 and a Fuji xt1. I plan on shooting sports this year, namely cycling (road and mount bike) and maybe some others. The question is with the prices on the k3 being so low right now I was curious if that would be a better route than adding the new D500? Does anyone here shoot fast sports with the k3? how is the auto focus keeper rate?

  7.
found a Target Brownie six-16 in my garage with the owners manual. is it worth anything?
also found an Argus argoflex Seventy-five with a flash that has 2 probe things that attach it to the side of the camera, I think they are electrical connections. The Argus still has the leather case. is it worth anything?

  8.
Still like my D7000 and my 85 f/1.8G
never mind :(

  9.
Thanks for posting that...very entertaining and I agree that it's dumb to get wrapped up in the techy stuff.

  10.
The legit part I guess is the way it appears to be done by Nikon what with their logo at the end....is it illegal to use someones logo? anyway it was fun to watch!

  11.
So I am sure some of you have seen this video and the one on the D5. Published Sep. 20, 2015. Is Nikon Motion part of Nikon, it looks legit. Thoughts and comments ?

  12.
I set my XT1 to B&W and played around with it. When set this way it shoot jpeg only so the post processing can't be manipulated as much. on this shot I just cropped quite a bit to zero in on the boy. I was using the 18-135 lens at 135mm.

  16.
I bought into the Fuji with the XT1 and the kit lens 18-135 but still have my D7000, I thought about selling the Nikon stuff but I will hang on to it, after all it was my first camera. I love the Fuji and can't wait to invest into the system.

  17.
better late than never. Some sport pic's using my old D7000.

  18.
My intention was not to turn this into Fuji thread nor a Nikon bash, however I will explain my reason for buying the Fuji at this point. The reason is largely due to their lenses and the Xtrans sensor. The image quality and sensor performance rivals that of FF sensors. There are other small reasons but that was the main one.
Thank you everyone for helping me to decided on which lens I should look at getting first. I will go with the versatile 35mm f/1.4 for now (its also the least expensive).

  19.
I agree Eric, and the 56 f/1.2 is hight on the want list, my consideration is that some if not most of my portrait sessions involves families. One coming up with 5 members. Worse case scenario would be to use the lesser D7000 or use the Fuji with the 18-135. Thanks again everyone for the input.

  20.
Thanks guys, I'm trying to decide which portrait prime to buy first for the Fuji and I was comparing with what I had for my D7000. I will ultimately get several lenses but there is always the first one to decide on :). I was also thinking about upgrading my D7000 body to accommodate the portrait sessions I'm getting into. Currently for the D7000 I have the 35 DX, 85 f/1.8G, Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 the old version (nice lens) and a couple of others that I don't consider portrait lenses. I'm really liking the Fuji and I've thought about selling off the Nikon stuff, but I kinda like having a back up even though its a different brand.

  21.
So this lens was manufactured to work with crop sensor cameras. I use the D7000 and I like the lens a lot. The question is how does that 35mm focal length compare to a regular 35mm lens on the D7000.
The reason I ask is because I recently purchased a Fuji XT1 with the kit lens 18-135 and at 35mm it has a different view than the Nikon 35mm DX lens on my D7000. The Fuji is also a crop sensor body. The Fuji at 35mm has a little wider view than my Nikon 35mm DX.
