Larry, Thank you for your comment. The alterations to the photo is definitely a improvement, but the mountain and the grit at its base is near to white marble. Therefore the name White Mountain. I could not get the colour right and the more I tried, blue started to change the mountain to grey. It is definitely a exotic and difficult place to visit and therefore not often photographed. Craig, You have endorsed my own feelings of the value of the Photo.Net ratings. You find members who seldom send a photo to be rated, however have rated thousands of photos themselves. Others again give low ratings but do not put their name next to it, so as to allow those they have rated to see the their work and compare. Some see the photos as being entered as for a competition. Very seldom positive comments are given to advise and not to criticise. I joined PN not for the ratings but to see photos of members all over the world. Places, incidents and events I would never could see otherwise. Also being fortunate to travel widely, to share my photos with those not as fortunate as myself. Thank you for your comment.
