1. Hi,

Does anybody know if it is possible to set the video settings in P mode while keeping the photo settings in M mode (with the camera remembering my choice when switching from video to photo and vice-versa)?

In fact, it seems like that the camera keeps different settings for aperture and shutter speed between video and photo, but if you change the "mode" in one of the two, the other also gets changed.

I'd like this to be able to switch between the two quickly without tweaking one or the other, since P mode is OK for videos, while it is not the best choice for photos. That's the point of the question.

    Thanks!

  2. @crumbo Hey, I spotted this thread which points to my exact issue with the mju II. I have a circular leak in the middle of the frame when pointing at the sun (or light surce) even partially. What is the fix you were describing? I tested and there's no leak from the lens barrel, so it must come from the lens itself. Thanks!

Hello, I love the soft charm of the achromat lenses, as those mounted on cheap cameras like the Dacora Digna and the Bilora Bella, for example. But all these cameras were made in the era of bulb flash, therefore with M sync. With an M sync a modern flash fires and shuts off too soon, before the shutter opens completely or at all. So no matter a slow "sync tempo", not even Bulb works (the only workaround is to first fire the shutter in Bulb and then manually trigger the flash. But very dark environment light condition are needed for that trick)
My question is: does anybody know of a 6x6 achromat fitted camera which also supports a X sync? Since I love the achromat look AND flash photography (but can't afford to buy bulbs!).

Thanks
Jean-Marc

  5.
Not for me. Autofocus with its simple (and really ultra sharp but dramtically NOT in the edges and corner) tessar lens, is super fast compared to other p&s (Nikon 35ti, for instance).
It focuses 95% of the times correctly for me. Of course in some cases you ought to use the half pressed release button for a pre AF and then recompose the image. But this you know.
Also flash recharges very fast. Could have been a perfect camera if it wasn't for this almost blurred edges of the frames. Could be a nice effect, but not for my purposes.

  6.
Has anyone experienced very soft edges and corners with this although very good point and shoot camera (no matter what aperture, also in bright light)? Is it just mine?
Thanks
7.
I experience a new and weird problem. Some of my negatives have a perfect sine wave shaped light leak all across the lenght of the film, just above the middle portion of the film. It's a of pale grey intensity, but enough to spoil the work. Negatives come from different 6x6 cameras. So that's not the issue. Anyone have a suggestion to understand this darkroom mystery? Many thanks
