What struck me immediately when I saw this picture was it's visual (and I assume unintentional) proximity to Charles Clifford's print in Alhambra (Grenada) taken circa 1854. The print was made particularly famous by Roland Barthes by way of an exposition in Paris in 1986, The Text and the Image (which I had the opportunity to visit), and his essay, The Light Room. Salvador Sabater's image deserves the same title that Barthes gave to Clfiford's: "This is Where I would Like to Live."
