Your lighting technique is excellent.  But I also really like the pose and cropping. 

The photo overall, makes me feel as if, at least on some level, I know this young woman.  That I have some insight to her character.  There is a sense of - 'intimacy' is the only word that quickly comes to mind.  Thanks for posting this photo.

Personally, I think it is cropped a bit too tight.  I think there would be more visual impact and a feeling of greater isolation if the 2 vases were a bit smaller and the background a bit 'bigger'.  But I really like the lighting and shading I see.
