1.
Hello everyone, I've missed posting the last couple of weeks but have enjoyed viewing everyones photos. My shot for the week is of this small ice covered weed sticking up from the ground in the garden. I was sort of amazed at how this spindly little stem of a plant was still standing tall although it had to have at least a couple of extra pounds of ice stuck to it..
2.
Hello all, I couldn't find the time to shoot any last week so this one is from the archives. The shot was taken back in late October just after I purchased my new Rebel XS. This was one of the first hand held landscape? shots I had taken. I'm showing my rookie status here with an ISO setting of 800. I'm not sure why I had it set so high for this shot but that's what the shooting info is showing.
3.
I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. My shot for this week came from a vertical shot of some ice that I was trying to catch a few drops falling from. Had no luck at all but, I got to looking at this particular shot and noticed that the bottom of the ice-cycle resembled a sea serpent or similar creature as well as a fish face in the upper right corner. Thought it was pretty neat so I angled the shot to 45 degrees and cropped this image from it.
4.
Hello everyone, Some very nice shots this week and I enjoyed looking back at the first Canon Thursday Pic thread. Very nice. I picked up a (1x) adapter in order to mount a few of my old FD lenses to my new Rebel XS and I must say that I am very pleased with the results. I set my old "Kiron 28-70 mm f/3.5-4.5 MACRO 1:4 MC", with a Canon FD Mount and the 1x's adapter to macro and started looking for something around the house to shoot. Not all that interesting of a shot but I thought the quality of the photo turned out fairly well...

Canon REBEL XS, Kiron 28-70 mm f/3.5-4.5 MACRO 1:4 MC / Canon FD & 1X Adapter, 1/50sec @ F4.5, ISO=100
