At home in Toronto on DSLR's and lighting techniques, and developing a portfolio . A 3 hour session for $55 (regularly $149) from Red Flag's Deal of The Day. I just started taking photos last month with barely any knowledge, and was wondering if a workshop like this one would be useful for me or if anyone here has been to something like this before. Thanks!

I pretty much agree with everything mentioned in this thread. I'd also add Casa Loma or the park just outside of it, which is a small, but really nice place to hang out in and take pictures.

My name is Mike of course and I'm from Canada. I just was handed down a Canon 40D and have been experimenting with it outside for the past couple of weeks. I will be going on a trip in a couple months and hope to improve my technique by then. I'm looking forward to becoming part of this forum and getting some tips as I go along.

An amusing idea, but one I would not like to partake in myself.
