1.
I have a Canon 8600f flat bed scanner that has the ability to scan negitives, however the quality is poor and I loose alot of detail in the final print when all is said and done. Also no matter what I do I get a lot of artifacts and dust on the film while scanning. I am just looking for a high quality so I can work on getting my best work in another format.

 2.
Does anyone have a good archiver that they use for their film? My dealer only does VHS and not film which so wierd. There reasoning is that most hard core photographer (I guess that would be me) have a better scanner then their lab. So not TRUE!!!

Any way I need to archieve all my film before I loose it all and I need a place that is good, priced decently and does both cut film and rolled film. I have both B&W and color 35 mm. Soooo am I asking for too much or a miracle? Ideas???

 3.
I work alot with the landscape and how level it is. Which it never is! I just adjust the tripod's legs until the camera is level for the shot. However, I have a question - how do I adjust for being vertically challenged? There have been some times when the tripod was correctly adjust and I could not see through the camera's viewfinder - new problem!

 4.
From my understandment when I spoke to my camera dealers, it depend on what year you lens is made. I have some really old 35 mm lens that will never work with a digital camera because they are lacking the new technology that needed to convert the picture. However my newer SLR lens for my Canon elan7 works fine with my digital cameras. It does not have the stability of a digital len, but it still works. Hope this helps you.
