I did the same thing but I bought mine about 3 months ago. I'm happy with it, I'm not really a "newest and bestest" kind of guy.

Also, watch out for the "splash the photographer crowd" I remember that being big at college meets a while back

Nathan, I also wanted to add that always be respectful of the images you retain, especially in swimming. Protect the privacy of the student athlete because, with swimming especially, the athlete can be captured in compromising positions.

I never use flash for college sports, some may but I don't. Do you have a media pass? if so the 85 will be fine as well as the 70-200. the 400 may not help at all. you would be surprised what you can do without a flash:

As a Christian then you do realize the Bible never mentions or forbids two WOMEN being in love. Why do you want to discriminate against them?

I recently found a mint, almost unused, Voigtlander Heliar lens on a glass plate folder. I thought I might try it on my 4X5 camera. I loaded up some black and white instant film and was amazed by the results. It's now my go to lens. I wonder what one of these lenes mint would be worth? I have no caps for it so I keep it in a cloth pouch. It's a dial set, not a rim set. I'll post some photos of it in a bit.
