  1. Hello Photo.net community! I am in the vintage camera reselling business and am trying to identify this Hasselblad accessory. Photos below... This seems to be a V mount bellows unit of some sort. It has a body mount on one side, a tapering bellows, and a small diameter tube with a felt lining on the other. Thanks in advance to anybody who can identify this! -Noah
  2. <p>@John Shriver <br> Mystery solved. Thanks so much! I actually received a focaslide from the same place as this (along with a couple PLOOT finders) and didn't put two and two together. Just tested it and it fits. I am not familiar with Leica stuff so you were a big help:)</p> <p>Thanks again,<br> Noah</p>
  3. <p>We recently came across this strange finder in what seems to be PLOOT/VISO finder mount. It has a textured semi-mirror in a right angle designed finder. It does not have any markings that point towards Leica. Let me know if you know what this is/what it fits...</p> <p>Thanks In Advance,<br /> Noah (That_Canon_Guy</p> Item Photos <a id="jb-link1" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854-.html#1" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854/1_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link2" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854-.html#2" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854/2_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link3" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854-.html#3" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854/3_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link4" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854-.html#4" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854/4_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link5" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854-.html#5" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854/5_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <img src="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/005569854-.html#1" alt="" /> click to enlarge
  4. <p>@Donald Miller<br> The Lens is a Bausch & Lomb Series Ic not 10 just to clarify:)</p>
  5. <p>@John Shriver<br> The tube at the front is the lens hood as far as I know. It is 28mm in diameter. I also believed it to be homemade except for the serial number 57 in the film door. The pass through finder seems that it was a possible feature in early 35mm film cameras as shown in the top picture of this article: http://www.shootingfilm.net/2013/10/the-worlds-first-35mm-cameras.html</p>
  6. <p>@Spencer Lange<br /> I also assumed that that was a serial number. As far as I know this body style was quite common with early 35mm film cameras though most were much more complex(Shown in this article: http://www.shootingfilm.net/2013/10/the-worlds-first-35mm-cameras.html).</p> <p>Thanks,<br /> Noah</p>
  7. <p>Hello Photo.net community,<br />I recently bought this camera to re-sell in our Ebay store and I am attempting to identify it. I would assume it is a camera but it does not have a catch or way to trigger the shutter. It has a brass Bausch & Lomb Tessar 50mm F3.5 Series Ic lens with both focusing and aperture control. The other pieces shown were included. See the pictures I posted and let me know what kind of camera/other this is if you can:)<br> <br /><br /><br> Thanks in advance,<br />Noah "That_Canon_Guy"</p> Photos (Reversed Order) <a id="jb-link1" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#1" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/1_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link2" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#2" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/2_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link3" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#3" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/3_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link4" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#4" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/4_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link5" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#5" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/5_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link6" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#6" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/6_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link7" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#7" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/7_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link8" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#8" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/8_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link9" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#9" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/9_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link10" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#10" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/10_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link11" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#11" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/11_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link12" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#12" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518/12_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <img src="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004916518-.html#1" alt="" /> click to enlarge
  8. <p>Thanks so much for the help:) I have my sights set on the Canon 24-70mm F4 L IS Lens. It sound like exactly what I was looking for.</p>
  9. <p>Hello Photo.net community,<br> I am a pretty experienced photographer who runs an Ebay camera store and I'm looking for some suggestions about my next lens. I use two lenses right now and would like to go down to one if possible. The two lenses and cameras I use are a Canon EOS 40D (with a split microprism focusing screen) w/ a Manual focus Tamron Adaptall 90mm F2.5 macro lens and a Canon 5Dc w/ a Canon 28-135mm F3.5-5.6 lens. I have to take pictures of items as small as a quarter and as large as 24"x24" regularly so I need both the macro capability and wide angle. Does such a lens exist that has both macro zoom and wide angle capabilities? My budget is about $1000.</p> <p>Thanks,<br> Noah (That_Canon_Guy)</p>
  10. <p>Hello Photo.net community,<br> I am on the road buying inventory for our Ebay camera store and ran across a very interesting piece... A Leica visoflex II/III (i'm not sure how to tell which) Pellicle mirror modification. I have done a bunch of research and found little about it except that it was probably modified by Norman Goldberg and is fairly rare. My question for you guys is how rare is this piece and do you have any information about it? The mirror in it is a solid glass block unlike a Canon Pellix which I am familiar with. See the pictures I posted and let me know if you can:)</p> <p>Thanks in advance,<br> Noah "That_Canon_Guy"</p> <a id="jb-link1" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004576558-.html#1" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004576558/1_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link2" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004576558-.html#2" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004576558/2_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link3" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004576558-.html#3" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004576558/3_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <img src="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004576558-.html#1" alt="" /> click to enlarge
  11. <p>First off I find this an interesting issue because I literally wen't through the exact same thing upgrading from my S2. After a lot of consideration I eventually ended up going for the Sony NEX 5r because I found a good deal on one and the image quality was supposed to be great. I loved the camera but I encountered a few limitations over the past 2 years of using it. Mainly it wasn't rugged enough for me (I actually ended up breaking one but I am extremely rough on my gear) and the limited inexpensive lens selection and slow (not super slow but not SLR fast) AF made it hard to shoot sports. I now only use it for studio work and video and have actually wen't back to the Canon 40D and am so far loving it. It is a bare bones photos only camera (no video etc.) but shoots at 6.5fps, is extremely durable, and has a wide selection of lenses (I'm mostly shooting with the 28-135mm right now but I just got the camera). I also think it is pretty future proof as I don't think that Canon will be discontinuing the EF series any time soon. If you have a bit more of a budget go for a used Canon 7D. It has video, is more durable, shoots 8fps, higher quality, etc. basically a total upgrade to the 40D but much more expensive (I got my 40D body for $200). Always make sure to leave some budget for lenses and also remember that it is the photographer taking the photo and not the camera.</p> <p>Hope this helps:)<br> -Noah</p>
  12. <p>Thanks for the responses I figured about as much but I couldn't find the exact re-brand online or in McKneown's Cameras. (they do list a few):)</p>
  13. <p>We buy and sell cameras on Ebay and have sold approx 10'000 cameras, lenses, & accessories (ranging from 1880's to 2000's) over the last 8 years mostly 1960's-1980's SLR cameras. I have recently come across this Bessel W3 camera that has me stumped for information. As far as I can tell by the design and markings on the bottom of the mirror box it is very similar to the Pentacon Praktica Nova (I). It is serial number 376310 as found on the inner rim of the right side film door switch plate. If anybody can give me some history/id this camera it would be very helpful:) I uploaded some pictures (unedited snaps) of the camera below so take a look if you think you can ID it. Also, please ask with any questions or for more info.<br> Thanks,<br> Noah (That_Canon_Guy<br> <br /><br /><br /></p> photos <a id="jb-link1" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630-.html#1" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630/1_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link2" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630-.html#2" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630/2_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link3" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630-.html#3" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630/3_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link4" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630-.html#4" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630/4_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <a id="jb-link5" href="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630-.html#5" target="_blank"><img src="http://img1.jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630/5_f.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /> <img src="http://jpegbay.com/gallery/004292630-.html#1" alt="" /> click to enlarge
