Accidentally hit "c" after i wrote up the summary.
This shot was taken in Spain on the island of Majorca. I had to wait some time for the shot to be devoid of people but I think it gives it a sort of mysteriousness without people in the frame.

Kyn,
I love the composition and the overall presentation but this shot seems to have too much contrast and I feel that it takes away from the joyous scene.
I took a moment to mess with it on photoshop and I found that even lowering the saturation/contrast just a tad produced some great results.
I didn't do anything about the darkening from the vignetting but I think that can be taken down a notch as well.
I'll post what I ended up with. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
All the best,
Stan.

Thanks so much Anabela.

Absolutely stunning distortion affect Anabela. It works tremendously well in this composition.
There's a terrible feeling of loneliness, frailty, and inevitability that this photo evokes in me and that's purely a testament to its incredible power.
Keep up the stunning work Anabela, your skill with digital alterations is impressive! 7/7.
All the best,
Stan.

Ozer, I'm certain that the B&W version of this shot is much more powerful. In this version, the white mist at the bottom looks entirely out of place and fake. In the B&W version, it is much more complimentary to the composition.
Just my 2 cents.
All the best,
Stan.

Greg, I don't see this image as eerie at all. In fact, I find it to be quite pleasant. I love the geometry in the shot and how the perspective leads directly into the pleasant pink tones of the background.
Very nicely composed and capture photo. Keep up the great work! 6/7.
All the best,
Stan.

I love it Walter, this shot is incredible! It offers us a scene of utter solitude, a powerful sense of humanity, and the overwhelming odds many of us face. I love what you did with the vignetting and how the eye is drawn back and forth between the farmer and the nothingness. It's a mightily strong composition that, to me, speaks of the overwhelming challenges that societies face feeding their populations and the toll that this work takes out on the less fortunate among us.
Welcome to P.NET and keep up the great work! I look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
All the best,
Stan.

Beautiful panorama shot Piotr.
I love how the bridge disects the right side of the photo and how the perspective leads us toward the left where the people are.
Great work! Keep it up. 6/7.
All the best,
Stan.

Darrell, I like the distortion here, the car looks very comical and the surreal HDR colors certainly help that feel. The shadows on top of the front wheel apparently aren't too well exposed and I see a lot of noise there, perhaps you should just paint that in black?
Overall, great work.
All the best,
Stan.

At first glance this shot very much reminded me of some photos in Lewis Hine's "Girls in Factory" series. However, when I looked closer I found that this shot is in fact quite the opposite. It seems to portray a youthful innocence in spite of the surroundings. The factories seem to stand in stark contrast to the girl, rather than being a part of her environment.
In Hine's work, the girls were a part of the factory, a cog in the machine. Here, the girl is a rebel in a way. She is the antithesis to the bland industrial landscape behind her.
I am captivated by the powerful lighting, expression, pose and mood that this photo sets.
Congratulations to Marc on an incredible POW.
All the best,

7/7! Well done =)

Rated this 7/7 because it deserves much higher ratings than it's getting.
Also, this is by far the most abstract shot in your abstract folder Stephen. It's powerful, well processed, well seen, and remarkably ambiguous.

Thanks for your time, Ruud. I appreciate the comment.

I absolutely love this shot Stephen, it's wonderfully abstract and there is definitely something that looks like part of a face. I wouldn't even tell people that this is a dune, leave it up to the imagination. My first thought was that it was a shadow in rippling water. A truly engaging photograph.
All the best,
Stan.
