1.
thanks for the info Rodeo Joe and Ellis Vener,
It seems that is the case with the broken part. Is this something that happens often with this Mamiya model? If that is the case and I have to pay £100+ for repairs and alignment every few rolls of film, what is the point? So much for 'reliable' equipment from a reputable company...
I have contacted the seller for a full refund, MF for me is not going well so far...

 2.
update: found another user on the forum with the exact problem and photos of where the spring and plastic part attach to on the camera body.
thanks and sorry for the hasty post, hopefully will not cost me another body to fix...

 3.
Hi all,
I ordered a used Mamiya 645 Pro body online, and upon unpacking it, two small pieces fell off of it, a small black springer in the shape of the number '6' with an edge, and a small black rectangular plastic piece with a small screw on the top. They are not broken, so I assume they came loose or were there as extras, which I very much doubt.
The focusing seems ok, the camera shutter only fired a few times initially, the mirror LU button functions, battery ok, but my heart sank, is my first system and to be honest all the pieces look just fantastic. What happened?
I downloaded a pdf of a repair manual, but the only parts that resembles mine happen to be deeper in the mirror housing, so not sure at all now...
Thank you in advance for reading this post, and I welcome all responses.
Nik.
http://s29.postimg.org/3t9weccc3/IMG_0051.jpg
