Is there any place where I am able to compare film to digital cameras? I know that they are not comparable in certain areas but I am interested in seeing how the compares in systems like the af, flash, fps, metering etc. It seems I can find comparison of digital to digital but no where that intermixes the two. Specifically I'm looking to compare elan 7ne to a 5d and 50d.

Hmmm.. The 5d might be a good choice. I guess I over looked it but I could afford to pay the little stepper price because I would not need to invest in another lens! Thanks for the response.

I am looking to upgrade to the digital age! I know it seems like most already have. I currently have an elan 7ne and enjoy it very much. My current lenses are 28-135 3.5 and a 200 2.8L. I am wondering what bodies you would recommend that would be an easy switch between my current camera... Similar features etc. But also I feel like with my budget I am going to need to go with a crop sensor which will change my focal lengths so I might need to grab a wider lens in the future. What are your recommendation s for bodies in the 300 dollar range? And for the future how about some lenses to compliment my current set? Really I am wondering if I should go with a newer Rebel version or stick with something like a 50D? Other suggestions welcome! Thanks!
