I can't get them to work in HSS.<br> Does anyone know what cameras and flash units are compatible? <br> I just purchased a Flashpoint rovelight 600B from Adorama for the HSS feature. I read a review of the rovelight at http://flashhavoc.com/flashpoint-rovelight-rl-600-review/ and set up the 622c tx and 622c the way they instructed and the HSS doesn't work. <br> I also tried with my godox speedlight and it still didn't work. <br> Need some help. </p>

<p>I just purchased a GH4 and a Rokinon 16mm. I set the camera to manual focus and used the zebra lines to focus. I was shooting a dance recital from the balcony so I was quite a distance. everything looked tack sharp in the live view and when I play it back in the camera and look at the it with a loupe it looks very sharp. However, when I play it back on my computer everything is blurry. I don't have a 4K monitor. could this be the reason? is there a trick to editing 4K? Please, help. thanks.</p>

<p>I have canon 1dx and last year tried it out at the recital. the problem is that several times the recoding suddenly stopped in the middle of a number. This was not due to the 29 minute limit on the camera. I've been looking at professional video cameras in the hopes they are better suited for long recording. Audio would be with an external mic not the built in camera mic.</p>

<p>I'm planning on printing banners on scrim vinyl on my epson 7890 for local sports teams. the banners are displayed indoors either in the gym or in the halls. I know banner shops print on vinyl with solvent inks and printers, however, the scrim vinyl is suppose to work with aqueous and pigmented inks. does anyone have experience with this? will I need to spray the banner to keep it from fading? <br> Thanks for the help.</p>

<p>I have several shooters using 1dx's and 7D's. Is there a way for the shooters raw pics to be transferred to the web or any other way so that I can access them without having to have the shooters physically bring me their flash cards. my lab is over 40 miles from most of the shoots and bringing the cards to me is not efficient.</p>

<p>I recently purchased the fujifilm frontier dx-100 and the printer is amazing, however, the software it came bundled with, Darkroom core, fails to send prints to the printer. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Is there a package printing software program out there that allows me to batch print standard packages like 1-8x10 2-5x7, 8 Wallets. I've tried quimage but it seems to be a program in which you're required to set up each page individually. I'm printing 100's of packages at a time and need to be able to batch print efficiently. </p>

<p>Marc: thanks for your response, you get where I'm coming from.<br> to answer your question, Can I group the kids based on skin color? in short , NO. there's no way i'd touch that with a ten foot pole. I shudder to think what the reaction would be if, I as a white guy in a predominately Hispanic area, suggesting to the principal to instruct the teachers to line up the kids based on skin color. OUCH. that would get messy. It would solve the problem but it's not doable. </p>

Things like controlling backdrop exposure will make you go nuts."<br> We stopped using backdrops years ago and went to green screen. one of the reason's we went to green screen was so the background would be consistent. I photographed all my denny backdrops and sold them. The B1 seems like it would help in our situation if it does what I've read it can do. it drives me crazy when a photographer changes the aperture to compensate for a pale white kid or a darker kid and forgets to reset the aperture. It creates more problems than it solves, so if the B! works it' would be a God send.</p>

Ellis. The profoto b1 doesn't work with the 1dx? We're using 1dx's. Perhaps this is moot.

I've used a meter and manual mode ever since I got into photogray 15 years ago. However, when dark skinned Hispanic kids and fair skinned Caucasian kids Come through the dark kids are too dark and the Caucasian kids are over exposed. This Leads the photographer to adjust the aperture to compensate which leads To the photographer forgetting he changed the aperture resulting in a whole group Not being properly exposed. The b1 if as good they say would take care of this Problem and be one less thing to worry about.

<p>Hi,<br> I have no experience with TTL, however, the Profoto B1 looks amazing and would really cut down on post time if it works as well as they say.<br> I shoot school portraits and shoot up to 1000 kids in a setting. I have always shot with studio lights on manual and have dealt with washed out white kids and underexposed darker kids in post. Fortunately, most of the students are hispanic with similar skin tone, however, there are enough lighter and darker kids that a lot of time is spent adjusting in post. <br> The Profoto B1 as described looks like it will take care of this problem by adjusting itself to deal with the changing skin tone. Does anyone know if the B1 TTL would really work for this application?<br> I'm ready to purchase 6 of them is they're as good as the claims.<br> thanks</p>

<p>Official capacity: the sound engineer is a jerk and won't allow anyone to connect to his system. he threw a hissy fit when he overheard me informing the dance company owner that the videographer had the equipment and knowledge to tie into the sound system.<br> The company owner wants the actual sound from the show to get the applause and to pick up the sound from the dancers, especially the tap dancers. we used the built in mic on the video camera last year and it worked well enough so they were happy but I'd like to try to provide something better this year. <p>It's a dance recital, Ballet, hip hop, Jazz and Tap. <br> I'll be in the balcony in the isle with people sitting next to me and behind me. I need to be able to pick up the music and the applause but am worried about the ambient noise and chatter from people in the audience close to me. There are four speakers on the stage facing the audience that are equally spaced apart. if a shotgun mic works like a telephoto lens i'm worried it won't pick up the music and applause well enough. I'm planning to put the mic on a stand off the camera.</p>

<p>I joined PPA for the $15000 insurance for equipment that came with the membership. I was recently told by a fellow photographer that he used to be a member and had the insurance too. However, when his car was stolen with all of his equipment, PPA insurance didn't pay out a penny. Before signing up I called PPA and asked specifically about what was covered. They told me that stolen gear or gear that I say dropped in water at a beach photo shoot would be covered. After my friends experience, I'm wondering if PPA's insurance is really legit.</p>
