1.
I bought this lens a bit doubtful thinking that photography is an expensive field and cannot be cheap. But I've changed my mind. This tiny (plastic) lens is wonderful for what you pay. And when you discover little gems like this you start to wonder if there are more of those.
Therefore I'm wondering if there's something like the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM.
But actually to be honest, I'd be interested to hear about any other nice cheap lens for the 7D!
I'm still discovering this world, so my point is: why spend a lot if you don't know what you're gonna use? first get an idea, then if you like it buy the *real one*.

 2.
Hi all,
I'm trying to achieve an effect light burning or flash lights, but I've no idea how to do that. I'm trying in a dark environment, with no lights but one covered and uncovered only for a seconds but is not working.
Here's some samples of what I mean:
3.
I haven't considered the monopod mainly because one of the next movie shooting I'm gonna do involve a steady shooting with the camera pointing to the ground. I've thought that the tripod was the best solution for this.

About the Tiltall tripods I've seen these two below:
1-

2-

I still have to read the article that Wade pointed out, but I'm wondering why a tripod with separated heads it's better than a combo.

 4.
As far I know a good tripod costs money. The thing is that I need a tripod but I'm looking to the cheap ones and I'm wondering if under $90 I can get a good one. Main use is shooting still and movies with the 7D.
Here's what I've found so far:
http://www.amazon.com/Sunpak-620-060-6601UT-Quick-Release-Mounting/dp/B00007E8D2/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1273470658&sr=1-19

http://www.amazon.com/Slik-Sprint-Pro-II-Tripod/dp/B0033333KU/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1273471904&sr=1-4

Is this kind of shopping useless or can I get a good job with one of those?

 5.
Thank you guys for all your replies. Of course I was aware of the differences between the 5D and the 7D when I decided to buy my 7D. My budget didn't allowed me to spend more than that and so far I'm more than happy with the 7D. Mainly I wanted to buy a good camera for two reasons: learn photography and having the chance to shoot good videos as well.
Probably the next step, after having spent enough time on the learning side, would be by another lens.

 6.
Thanks for your replies. The comparison web site looks handy.
Now, if I understand the point here, basically the principle is with a cropped sensor just in case I would need a wider view I could simply move to a wider lens. If this is the solution it sounds pretty straight forward...

 7.
You're right... I've got the bundled one, the Canon EF 28-135mm IS lens. Currently I don't have any specific subject in mind while I shoot, since I'm learning and whatever I find interesting I usually shoot. Besides that, I'm also interested in shooting videos and get some camera tracking from that.

 8.
From what I'm reading around it seems that the main difference it's *simply* bigger area in the full frame choice. Said that, for film and photograph stuff, is there any other big deal using a cropped frame sensor?
I'm using a 7D right now, just wondering what I'm missing, besides the skills needed despite what camera one is using :)

 9.
Wow, a lot of help, didn't hoped so much! thank you guys.
I did know about hdr and color correction, let's say I've a discreet digital background but newbie with photography stuff. I thought I was doing something wrong since I'm a beginner in this field and hoped there was the *right* way to do that kind of shooting. But I'm also quiet now that I see wasn't just my fault but a limit of the tool itself (I shoot digital).
Said that, for my experience it seems that the hdr way looks the easiest. And by hdr I mean just shooting hdr and grade it later. I'm not feeling interested until now by shooting multiple hdr to have different pedestal, gamma and gain values to mix them up later.
Thank you so much guys, I'm gonna save this page now and read it again later (I know I'll need it!).

 10.
Sometimes it happens that I shoot something where half is dark and half completely bright, for example part is covered by a roof, a bridge or whatever, and part is completely lit by sun light. In these cases I'm struggling with shutter and exposure, but it seems there's no way to have the dark area well illuminated without avoiding to burn the bright area. On the other side if the bright area is well balanced the dark area is almost black, hiding all details.
Any hints?
