Nicely done abstract.

Plastic lens or not, you caught a great candid moment...well done. Frankly, I love old photos.

All critiques and suggestions welcome! This image was taken with a Canon
EF (circa 1973) using a standard 50mm FD lens and Kentmere 400 film.

interesting concept. a little too underexposed for my taste.

very nice, richard. been wanting to get one of these for some time. possibly one of the best designs BMW has ever come out with. oh, nice lighting by the way.

Thanks, Mark. Glad you like film -- I'm really enjoying using vintage cameras and their excellent lenses to shoot a variety of subjects. Hoping to post some more soon using bellows and extension tubes. It doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes...

Thanks, Daniele. The ambient light was low so I had the aperture wide -- hence the shallow depth of field and OOF.

I agree that the posing is a little too flat to be flattering. But maybe that's not the effect you were seeking.

i, too, love it!
what gear did you use?

Exposure works well but the focus is a little too soft around the eyes.

Well done, Edmondo. I really like the sharpness that fades with the shallow depth of field.

Good casual portrait, Carmine. Not usually a fan of flash but you've caught an interesting moment in time.

Shot with a classic Minolta SRT101 using Ilford HP5 400 pushed to 800.

Getting better. The pose and expression are much improved. The lighting could be better.
