Hi all,
Can someone recommend a decent resize and sharpen for web action for CS5? I made one but am not entirely happy with it. I work with large files so the photoshop one isn't ideal.
Cheers

I find that the Photographer's Epheremis is an invaluable tool, as are google maps and google earth
http://photoephemeris.com/
The Ephemeris will help with telling you when is the best time of year/day to shoot a location you have found. Its a free download.

Thanks guys.

David - Scotland is perhaps my most photographed place in the world and is very dear to my heart! I'm in southern Italy now in my motorhome so driving all the way back to Scotland for autumn seems along way as I'm looking forward to shooting the Dolomites in winter.
I spent July in Haute Provence, shooting Lavender, sunflowers, Gorges de Verdons and the mountains. Provence is indeed a special area, I hadn't thought of if for an autumn shoot....maybe an option.
In May i passed through the Alsace region on France which with all of the vineyards will also look special in autumn.
i've done a little research and read that Bavaria may be good for Autumn colours...ever tried that?
I definitely plan to go back to Tuscany for Spring.
Cheers

Hi All,
I am touring Europe in my Motorhome at the moment and will be for another few months. I want to shoot a variety of Autumn/fall colours and was wondering if people had any recommendations? I've just spent the last week in Tuscany and may head back there for the last 2 weeks of October unless I come up with a more interesting spot.
Cheers

Hi all,
I managed to snap my nodal ninja 3 this morning, I'm desperate to get it fixed or replaced with another nodal ninja or another pano head.
Does anyone know of a decent camera shop in Italy, heading to Rome tomorrow, which will stock pano heads?
Thanks

I've discovered Feisol so am no tempted by the CT 3442 or CT 3441SB
They seem to get decent reviews, are lighter and more sturdy than Manfrotto and not at the Gitzo price

Hi All,
I'm in the market for a new lightweight tripod after my last one broke and my DSLR fell in a river! When hiking I either use my 5D mkII with a contax 35-70mm on a nodal ninja or my Fuji GX617 with a 90mm lens.
What tripods would people recommend? Also what lightweight ballheads would people recommend for when I'm not using a pano head?
I've considered the following:
Manfrotto 190CXPRO4
Giottos MT8240B
But I can't decide whether to stretch my budget to a Gitzo. I'd really like the TVC-33 Versa but that is getting studipdly expensive.
Cheers

Hi All,
I thought I'd share a processor in London that I have recently discovered, and at £1.99 for a 120 roll its really good value. Company is called Genie imaging and here is there website www.photos2you.co.uk.
Great service and really friendly staff.
Imacon flextight Photo with Windows 7 64bit
in The Digital Darkroom: Process, Technique & Printing
Posted

Hi All,
I bought an Imacon Flextight Photo last night. The previous owner was running it on a Mac with a firewire cable and SCSI adaptor. I was this in action.
I'd like to run it on my PC with windows 7 64bit. If I buy a firewire PCI card for my PC will I be able to run the scanner with the latest Flex color software? Will the firewire adaptor work on windows?
Thanks
