  1. thanks for the contributions. DOF on MF when using the 56T is tiny regardless of aperture setting (this was shot@f22)

    i agree the bokeh on the ziess 80mm is fairly harsh here. using grey or black card is a great idea thanks for that :)

    really like the styling here and a lovely looking model. personally i feel maybe the use of a wider angle lens and shooting the model from a lower and more acute angle could have accentuated the long boots and given the image some more drama and impact. also not having the subject in the center of the frame would add interest (if she's looking up and to her left you could position her in the bottom left of the frame 'looking up and out' of the frame as it were)

  2. i respectfully disagree. my eye is led to the left of the picture 'looking' for the point of focus, then down into the reflected water area then........ nowhere. a suggestion.. if you were looking for an alternative to the glorified view 'sunrise' shot maybe shoot a close up of the scene reflected in the water itself ? great colours though and props for being there that early to capture it :)
