or are my eyes playing tricks ..?

Crop the left side...

I would crop out most of the sky ....

Great use of the rule of thirds ! Don't you just love Velvia at twilight ?

Ah ..the pure, simple power of a 50mm..beautiful. This is the best of your Paris folder. Where exactly in Montmarte was this taken from ..Sacre Couer ?

I have been a big fan of Mike Dixon's work for the last many years and this picture is no exception. If you are interested check out Lynn Farmer's (http://www.lynnfarmerphoto.net/35MMBoard) photo forum for seeing more of his fantastic work. He is a winner of Photo of the Week there too (I'm jealous !).

Great pic..however one nitpicking comment ...catchlights in the eyes would have worked wonders.

RULE: You cannot have telephone, electricity wires in a picture if it's not relevant to the central theme. I am not going to rate this pic.

The white flowers in the foreground are distracting...crop them out. Very good work !

Hi Sumanta,
Let me give you the pro and cons from my perspective:
PRO:
- Great Compostion
- Good sharpness
CON:
- The camera is not horizontal but tilted slightly. You should crop the picture so that the window is parallel to the edges of the snap.
- The latitude in the film is not enough to capture the image. Notice that the image inside the window is overexposed so no detail can be seen. To get around this problems you can meter the background and use fill flash for the wall.
Good job !

It has been 20+ years since I was last there and you seem to have captured the place very nicely.
Try to crop out the building on (your) right ..it's distracting !
-
You have captured the decisive moment ..!
The harried mother, having finally expended all her love and patience in getting the little one to quieten up...finally breaks down and appeals for help ! Absolutely wonderful !

Great pic...you can almost feel you were there!

Use a spirit level to keep your camera horizontal...the picture is cockeyed

If photo.net ever has a hall of fame this picture would be at the top. Words cannot convey the quality of this pic...the composition, technique, subject and interest is absolutely PERFECT.
-
I apologize for the crude comment but it just looks like a bad snapshot to me.
-
Great pic...and one of the most unusual prespectives I've ever seen.
Nitpicking: The edge of the boat should be a little removed from the reflection of the tower.

The globe seems upside down

Why are you reposting the same picture over and over again ?
