Well, I knew I would get good advice on photo.net. It was indeed a big hair hainging down in front of the shutter. Thanks for the advice, Matt!! All fixed.

I have just started getting this intermittent problem with my Nikon
F100. Some negatives have a streak going down the center. In the
same roll, other negs will be perfect. This goes for slides, B&W, etc.
The only commonality is that it seems to be worse when the sky is a
backdrop. This link will take you to my portfolio in photo.net. The
two BW negs in the top left are from the same roll. One has the
streak, the other not:

Has anyone seen something like this? Is this some kind of odd flaring?<div></div>

I have had wonderul results with the high-silver and incredibly sharp Efke KB25 developed in Neofin Blau. For more info, go to www.jandcphoto.com

I have been processing Kodak HIE in a Jobo for years. I would encourage you to read the Infrared Photography Handbook by Laurie White. Exposure by meter is tricky. You have to do an "inventory" of the IR information then go by feel (starting at a baseline). It takes practice. Out of a roll of 36, don't expect more than 10 good exposures when you are learning.

Dan,
I have used both B&W and color IR in my N90s with no fogging for years.

Hello all,
I ahve been experimenting with Efke 25 for a while using first D-76 and then the Tetenal Neofin Blau one-shot. I expose at 50iso in daylight and even that may be too slow. Has anyone else used this combination? This was taken in San Francisco @50 with a red filter developed with Tetenal.
Thanks!
