1.
Hello, Fellow Nikonians !
This wednesday I was very busy, taking pictures at the Carmo Archaeological Museum, in Lisbon, Portugal, and I decided do share one of them with you.
It is located in the very scenic Ruins of the Old Carmo Church, that have survived the Great Lisbon 1755 Earthquake. The beautiful sculptures in the foreground are a work of the Italian sculpture Giovanni Antonio Bellini.
I hope you enjoy it and visit this unique museum sometime in the near future.

 2.
Hello Fellow Nikonians !
First of all I want to thank warmly to Janas Fjellstedt and Peter Heritage (as well as to Hayley Karl and Doug Rice), for their stimulating comments on my Cambodian Mother and Child, that is in fact one of my prefered pictures, as well as to Greg Kowalczewski and Doug Rice for their comments on my "Jumping" photo, last Weds..
This week, so far,at this early stage, besides the usual excellent flower and bug macros, I would like to refer, for their originality, Erik Christensen's "Manicure" and Kent Shaker's Heavy tripod-light camera, Rick Moran's "Snowy Edret", for the perfect symmetry and of his very "clean" picture, Aguinaldo for his "retro" style Paris street scene, and also Scott Pogorelc's "Cats life", for the very critical use of the focus to give depth to his cat.
This week I contribute with a picture taken at a traditional Iberian mask parade that took place in Lisbon city, last Saturday.

00WXhD-247087984.thumb.jpg.109b58ffcbde1c203a0c1e57f42e03a6.jpg

 3.
Hello Everybody !
First of all I would like to thank very much Jonas Fjellstedt, as well as Hayley Karl and Doug Rice, for their comments and mentions of my picture last week.
So far, I have specially enjoyed Gej Jones Venise warm colours (hope you get well soon), Greg Kowalczewski's tennis player, Jennifer Meighan's "Lil Lady" (fantastic colours and composition), Scot Pogorelc's baseball player, Samford Gerald's and gigantic "Blowing Bubbles". My deep sympathy to Tiffany Brook´s hard disk failure, reminding all of us of the absolute need of backuping our precious photos...
This week I am sharing with you a picture taken at a horse jumping championship in Portugal. The concentration of the rider, biting her tongue, was the reason for selecting this picture.

00WUbB-245193584.jpg.daa18703a81dc16cb87a5b28e532edd2.jpg

 4.
Dear Fellow Nikonians,
Watching and contributing to this forum, in which we can learn so much with amateurs like myself and, I guess, a few professional prhotographers, is becoming an addiction for me ! Last week I have specially enjoyed
Jeff Lipsman's Cambodia fisherman,
Sanford Gerald's Squid boat fisherman,
Louis Meluso's Sandra at play,
Anish Mankuthel Dunstanburgh Castle,
Dave Lee's Neko cat (an amazingly sharp and expressive cat, thak shows how a basic Nikon Camera, with a good lens and especially a good "eye" behind can produce excellent results)
Matthew Brennan's very "professional" New Zealand beach at sunset
Kent Shafer's frog, that really looks like if "he" is posing for the photographer
Martin Z.'s portrait of a friend and
David Janson's extremely neat and detailed iguana.
This week, so far, at this early stage, I have specially enjoyed
Gej Jones Rock wall
Adam Zyto's Sarah and
Lawrence Ho's extremely sucessful result of the classic but difficult water drop experiment.
My own contribution was taken a year ago at Ton Sap Lake, in Cambodia, where a fishing community is fighting hardly for survival every day. I was particularly touched by this young mother, carrying her child, while rowing her small boat. I dedicate it to Jeff Lipsman, who has also been recently in Cambodia, obviously without trying to compete with the quality of his own picture on a similar subject.
Have a Good Photo Wednesday !

 5.
Hello Dear Fellow Nikonians !
Until this early moment I have especially enjoyed the contributions of Matt Laur (You really make a good point for always carrying a camera with you), and Samford Gerald. His workman is very impressive. It really transmits the feeling of the extreme exhaustion.
This week my contribution was taken at the beautiful and peaceful town of Évora, Portugal, a World Heritage Site, that is well worth a visit ! (the dark dots on the sky are not dust marks, but pigeons. So, I have decided to keep them...)
Good wednesday and excellent pictures !

00WOZ9-241719684.thumb.jpg.837188bbb755b70219478f0ecb2a3617.jpg

 6.
Good Photo Wednesday, everybody ! Until now, my preferences go to Sanford, Greg, Eric, Matthew and Anish. This week my contribution comes from the beautiful city of Sidi Bou Said, in Tunisia.
It was taken with my D80, with NIKKOR VR 18-200, at 42mm, F/8; 1/250, ISO 100.

00WLSS-239923684.thumb.jpg.75b841715184233a1514d97a02a02799.jpg

 7.
Good morning, Nikon Community ! Until the moment I have specially enjoyed Chris Court, Alpo Syvanen, Amish Mankuthel and Louis Meluso's pics, for their originality and technical quality. I hope someone enjoys my pic ! It was taken at Kyoto's Gion District. I was struck by these two "Mayko", and their elaborate and colourful ornaments !
It was taken with my D80, with VR 18-200, at 112mm, with F/5.6 and 1/125s.

00WI1Z-238129684.thumb.jpg.0689366c1fdb0860ce5f7808580681d9.jpg

 9.
My thanks to Peter Rafle, for his help to this newcomer to the Nikon Wednesday forum !
My photo was taken at sunset at the artisanal fishing port of Carrasqueira, on the river Sado estuary, Portugal, on an Autumn day, with my Nikon D80, with the AFS Nikkor 18-200 lens, at 1/30 and f:5.6, set to ISO:400 Raw, converted to JPEG with Capture NX2.

 10.
I have been watching this forum with very much pleasure every wednesday for some time, and today I have decided to send my first contribution to it, hoping for your benevolence...
This week, so far, I have especially enjoyed Bob Dein's beach, taken at Venice, Florida, GK Sullivan's English Bay Schooner, and Emilio Gutierrez' Festivity.
