"a bunch of fiesty guys..."
How many of you that are recommending Leica's to this gentleman bothered to read that he wants to spend under $100?
Why don't one of you "feisty guys" sell him one of your M6's for $100.
Give me a break....

check completed auction prices on the bay. i would think $100 or less would be about right, depending on condition.
you'd probably also be better off with a K1000 than either one of those two

The photo you posted sure isn't an example of front focusing in my opinion. If anything, it's back focusing. But then again, it doesn't look like too much is in focus anywhere. What lens was used?
And your post seems to indicate that you think the K10d is a dud. Did you ever think you might just have gotten a bad example? Did your store offer to exchange it, or did you go in with the idea you were going to get a refund?
Sure, I'd be upset if I bought something like that that had a problem, but problems can be fixed.

If you're going to use it almost exclusively for macro work, get a manual focus lens (an older used lens). Auto focus at the macro level is pretty much useless.

someone makes an adapter with a holga plastic lens to fir your camera. try searching on the internet, or here. i saw it someplace recently

Try www.cardrecovery.com
It worked for me after I accidentally erased an SD disk. There's a free trial you can use to see what is recoverable on the disk. You'll have to buy the program to actually recover the files. It's only $40 so it's not too bad.

My local dealer has it on "sale" for $819 (body only). They said the last they were told last week was expect delivery last week in November, but they could not sell until 11/30.
Wedding Cancelled: Deposit Woes

If you signed the contract, and paid the deposit, you don't have a leg to stand on. If the photog would agree to refund half the deposit IF he rebooks the date, would be about the best you could hope for.
It's not extortion if you agreed to it and knew the contract language going into it.
Just my $0.02
