I am considering submitting this to the Iowa State fair photo contest

and I would appreciate feedback. It was taken on a warm winter night,

where the dense snow cover saturated the air and caused a thick fog.

As you can see, the light in the background becomes a fuzzy ball in

the dense fog.

Fantastic! I love it as is, but as I scrolled by browser down a little, i chopped off the horizon and the mountains so I just saw the background ending a little beyond where the crack ends visually. I think it has a greater impact to the viewer without the distant distraction, the eye clearly wants to probe just along the crack (at least my eye anyway).

So maybe try cropping out the background and see what you think. Just my thoughts, I wonder what others think? Great photo, keep up the good work!
