I am getting better at scanning B&W. My tones are smoother and in

this picture I didn't have to do any cloning. How does this picture

    look to everyone else?

Everything is much sharper in the Photoshop file (~4800X2400) but I never have gotten the hang of shrinking files without them turning fuzzy.

I was trying for more of a picture with a lighthouse in it as opposed

to a picture of a lighthouse. How did I do? Is it better or worse

than the other lighthouse pictures in this folder?

This shot is from last January on the coldest day of the year: -

40something with windchill. I think it was worth the effort and

temporaraly freezing myself to the cable release.

Shawn, pretty good use of movements to get most of the shot in focus (especially with such a long lens). I would have still stopped down to f/22 and maybe the top left corner would have been sharper. I like the composition and the exposure looks dead on. Nice shot.

I don't care for the composition. Too me it looks like she is going to fall over. I will certainly give you credit for trying something different though.

It is not a bad picture but it is not a great one either. I would have liked a little more depth of field. As for the horizon, if they needed to be horizontal all of the great landscapes would be of Nebraska not of canyons or mountains. I do not think the slanted horizon detracts from the image.
