That is an excellent shot. The immature looks pretty scruffy. it must have been a cold and windy day.

I find it a little too soft in the faces, especially the mother's eyes.
-
Maciej, you have a great eye...
and unlimited travel funds.

Shawn, pretty good use of movements to get most of the shot in focus (especially with such a long lens). I would have still stopped down to f/22 and maybe the top left corner would have been sharper. I like the composition and the exposure looks dead on. Nice shot.

So...what do you think of the:
Composition
Tones
Texture

I love this picture. The two sets of footprints are great and yes the water looks inviting.
-
Roberto the scan doesn't look very good to me. The 4X5 Velvia should look dreamy. These colours look washed out and there is not much detail in the midground. What scanner was used?

I think this shot is amazing. It is perfect in B&W.

I think that this picture would have been better if you could have raised the camera up about 4-5 ft and tilted the camera down a bit. As is it is a pretty good shot

What do you think?

I liked the composition of the other sailboat picture better but both were flat (ie lacking in contrast).
-
It is not a bad picture but it is not a great one either. I would have liked a little more depth of field. As for the horizon, if they needed to be horizontal all of the great landscapes would be of Nebraska not of canyons or mountains. I do not think the slanted horizon detracts from the image.
