  1. Wow. Any time a shot pulls you in like this one did me, it is a good thing. I can almost feel the pine needles matted under my back. Was the exposure tough to get right? I think I would have just started bracketing like there was no tomorrow...

    but I *LOVE* B&W underwater shots. Everyone seems so preoccupied with supersaturated macro work when diving, this reminds me of what we miss when people don't try B&W UW, even though this is obviously not an UW shot. I had planned to burn lots of B&W on my last dive trip to Palau and Yap, but due to technical difficulties and stupidity on my part, I didn't get a single UW shot on the whole trip, just video. This shot makes me regret that even more. I'm definitely ranting off topic of this photo itself...this shot really pleases my eye, which likes the symmetry and the tone quite a bit.
