Shot in Peacham, a small out of the way village in northeastern

Its a Blue Grouse, thanks for asking

I was actually waiting for the sun to set when this little fellow

started clucking behind me. I chased after him for about an hour, he

moves very fast, finally got smart, got down on my belly and waited

for him to come to me.

I used a star filter not sure if I like the effect, perhaps too

dominating. What do you think?

Location is Vine Street Falls on the 1st Branch of the Winooski River

in Montpelier, Vermont

I was shooting wide open(f1.4) at 1/15th, cursing to myself that I should have 400 asa film on hand, just in case. Thanks for your comment

It is the moon but since its so small I did not mention it. In a large print it plays more of role in the image. The scan was way too dark,that's what happens when one is not paying attention to what they are doing, maybe I will repost sometime with a more truer exposure. Thanks for your comment

A moonscape on a frigid night, you know its cold when you can't tell

you are pressing the shutter cause your fingers are numb. Old manual

cameras work much better in these conditions.
