I've been selling landscape and seascape prints at a local gift shop on the south shore of Massachusetts for a few years. Not making a fortune, but covering costs, and I just like doing it. It is not my full-time job, just a side project. 8x10s for $25 matted.

I want to sell some more high-end items like canvas and metal prints, but I'm having trouble determining the pricing. I'm also putting some labor into mounting the metal prints on wood, so I'm trying to consider that. I tried to include a photo of one, but the site won't let me. Basically, it's a metal print drilled on the corners and screwed into a rustic-looking piece of wood. I also put washers on the back side so the metal is elevated off the wood a little. I think it's pretty cool, but the price would have to be fairly high for them to make a decent profit. I calculate the cost for me to be around $100 for an 8x10 metal print mounted on wood.

I was thinking of pricing it around $200-$225. Any higher seems too much for something this size (overall about 10x15"). I don't think the gift shop would be an appropriate retailer for something at that price, but there are other "higher end" stores that I think I could get in.

I guess it's a matter of opinion, but all are welcome to chime in. Could something like this go for $200 or more? What would be an appropriate price? Thanks!
