The 20D would give me enough pixels to crop significantly, if needed, and still print a 270-300dpi 8x10 without any upsizing. That alone might not be worth an extra $500, but combined with other new features it's very attractive to me. In theory.

I agree with checking out the Shedd boardwalk. You might also check out:
1) Views from the lake shore on the north side (Lincoln Park).
2) The view from one of the bridges crossing over the North-South branch of the Chicago river, like Grand Avenue.
3)I've never tried it, but you can go to the top of the Hancock, http://www.hancock-observatory.com/, but note that there are no tripods allowed.
4) Take the architectural tour

I have two Photogenic PL1250DR monolights, and I've been thinking
about adding a third light to the set as a background, kicker, or
location light. I was thinking about the AC/DC Photogenic StudioMax
320 WS. The problem is that my 1250's have UV coated tubes, and the
StudioMax has only non-UV bulbs available. I shoot mostly digital,
no weddings.
My questions are:
1) Should I worry about the difference?
2) If so, would an amber filter do the trick?
3) Is there a better alternative to the StudioMax? (I'd like to re-
use my photogenic accessories if possible)

You probably just need to wash it a bit longer. Try at least 5 minutes, 10 minutes for archival. If that doesn't work you might need to increase your fixing time as well. I usually fix for 6 minutes.

If you want something a bit more punchy right out of the camera, try setting the contrast to +1 in Parameters. If that doesn't suit you, I'd recommend simple curves or levels adjustments in Photoshop to start out. The 10D has a very straight reponse curve, and I find a little curve adjustment is usually necessary to get what I expect. You can save your typical adjustments as an action in PS and apply it to your images in batches.

Will the PolaPlus back fit on my 503 with the Kiev TTL NC2 copy?
Thanks!

I second the RZ67 for a few reasons:
1) Revolving back
2) Interchangeable backs let you manage film (and/or format) better
3) Higher flash sync than Pentax (if you need flash for macro)
