Connemara Landscape, Galway, Ireland Apr. 2010
Connemara is a beautiful barren landscape in the West of Ireland. A
place where the light can change from moment.

Very interesting image. Wonderful lighting and it is almost as if the the branches of the bare tree are reaching out to capture the old man. Perfect timing! well done. Kind regards. Pat

Thanks for taking time to comment everyone, I really appreciate it. As soon as I looked out my hotel window and saw the disabled parking sign and wet street. I thought there was the basic ingredients for an image. all I needed was the right figures to walk into the frame. Thankfully they did. Kind regards all! Pat

Wonderful image Guiseppe, beautiful texture and the toning add to the old world feel of it. Does it need the figure standing on the left, or the grafitti? Well done. Pat

Hi Andrea! as soon as I saw the image I knew it had to be yours. Once again a very interesting image. Great perspective and use of form, shape, lines, light and shade. Well done. Pat

Thanks Marjolein. The stone is interesting, in that it is known as the 'Stone of destiny' because it is sited in Tara, Co. Meath, residence of the ancient High Kings of Ireland. It is said that when the right heir to the throne placed his hand on the stone, the stone would sing, vibrate, or make make some type of sound.
I was indeed lucky with the light on that particular day. Pat

Taken on a cold February day. I was struck by the quiet, silent and
formal pose of these Guards, who stand for hours without movement in
the constant noise and hum of traffic and tourists.
Comments encouraged and appreciated.
Thanks for looking!

This was a really funny guy, I think he called himself Dr Dolittle. He had
the crowd in stitches.

Thanks Majorlein, for taking the time to comment on this image. It was taken very quickly as I walked up the street. The central figure, is indeed slightly out of focus, this was a mistake. I really intended for the image to be sharp throughout. However for me there is a sad almost etheral quality to her which is a little at odds with the busy, party atmosphere and character of La Rambla, and it is this quality which makes the image interesting for me.
Does it work, or does the lack of sharpness of the main character take away from it? It probably does! but I still like it.
Thanks again. Pat

Taken in Covent Garden, London. I liked the intensity of expression on
the children's faces. Would he get under the bar, or not?
All comments appreciated.

I took this from inside the Apple store looking towards the Manhatten
Skyline. Does it work? I'm not sure!
All comments really appreciated.

I came across this beautiful old fountain in a small park in Lr.
Manhatten. I don't know the name of the park, but I loved the fountain.
I've tried to capture some of its beauty and character in this image. All
comments welcome and appreciated.
