  1. I don't remember exposure time but am quite confident it was at f/4. Picture was taken freehand. For metering I pointed somewhat towards the tower. Scanned the film on an Epson 2450 @ 2400 dpi, increased the brightness falloff in the corners with the levels dialogue and unsharp masked it with something like 60/2/1. The borders are from Auto F/X photographic edges. I simply can't leave my fingers off that. Unfortunately I posted the version with the sloped horizon, which I corrected in a second version. I usually don't like to rotate my pictures, but I didn't have a second neg of that scene with the horizon done right. A grid in the finder would be fine ...
  2. Looks creepy, but wasn't. Just a little late and not many people around. I didn't use flash, but placed the camera on one of the stone benches, switched to B and guessed the exposure time. This is what you see when you look over the wall, doesn't look that deserted anymore:
