Hi Mark... I really like this photo... The look on pussies face is really intense and rather cute... The composition is great, and the depth of field is interesting and very clever... I love pet moments like these... The only critique I would offer is the foliage and flowers are a bit over saturated, and do not blend in with the saturation level on puss... Puss looks somewhat flat and a bit green... There is also a white spot at the bottom just left of center, I don't know what it is, but my eyes are drawn to it instead of the subject... Both easily fixed in PS... A really good shot though... Best wishes, Sally...

Hi Monica... I like what you have done here, its something really different... The composition is great... The colors and lighting are wonderfully soft, and very much suit the theme of the photo... Its just fabulous to watch little girls dress up and explore their imagination, and you have captured this beautifully... If you are worried about the hot spot, it would be relatively easy to soften it right down with the clone tool... Best wishes, Sally...

Hi David... I took this photo a long time ago, and have since become much more proficient in Photoshop... You are absolutely correct in your suggestions... Now that I have learned how to adjust the levels correctly instead of just using the sliders, I will go back and have another go at it... This is about the level my Nikon D70 will get... Its not as good as I'd hoped for, but I have ordered a little macro lens, and will try again with that... You have without any doubt portrayed in its entirety the spirit, strength and intelligence of this majestic creature... You are the best!... Just when I am beginning to despair at my lack of skill, and become overwhelmed by all there is to learn, you make a comment like this and my spirits soar again... Just after I completed this photo, I came across the section in my studies that teaches how to adjust the levels CORRECTLY using threshold layers... What a difference it makes!... Up until now, I have just been manually using the sliders... This will probably deal with the whites being too light, I am going to go back and do it again... Thank you Birte, you are teriffic!!...
