    David, after you recently critiqued one of my images I've been going through your work, too. I'm very impressed. The above image is great in my humble opinion. Great light, pose and model. To me, it catches my eye immediately because of the stance/pose of the model yet its quality is perfect to me. BTW, I like your original - the center crop takes away from the subject but that's just my opinion. Great work.

  1. This is exactly the same look my 1st grade teacher used to give me!

    This shot was taken a couple of years ago at a local fair using a Sony

    a55 DSLT and Sony 18-250mm DT. I realize this photo is really lacking

    technically but to me the "expression" is priceless. Plus, I thought

    you might need a laugh today. Thanks for looking.

    John, Katie is laying on a park bench looking up at me so it is a horizontal pose. The thought of removing the pearls never entered my mind but I like it. Your brighter version is great but I was looking for a misty, sultry look and I think I accomplished that. I agree that I need to pay more attention to detail while post processing. Thanks for all you help.
