    Simple, beautiful and I like your frame presentation. Very nice. What would I do differently? Nothing necessary but I might be tempted to sharpen the 2 red leafs just a tad. Great either way.

    I saw the main subject so close to the frame edge via the thumbnail I had to click on to see what was happening. What a pole! I like it. The blue dominance is interesting as well.

    With the exception of shooting product photography for advertising, I say anything goes with regard to color. For me the sky adds an element of interpretation and originality. While I agree the hue may not have been 100% accurate via the original scene, and the sky doesn't make nor break the shot, it works wonderfully IMO. Nice job.
