1.
I use the Youngnou rf602 triggers with my studio lights (AlienBees B800's) and they also work fine with my 2 Af540FGZ Pentax flashes also. I got a set of rf603's but they wouldn't trigger on the Pentax K20 or K3 for some reason. I have shot 10 weddings with the RF-602's and they never fail. The best feature is that it eliminates the random triggering I used to get when Aunt Mabel or Grandma fired off their pocket cameras and triggered my light based triggers. And the built-in flash based Pentax remote triggering system doesn't work in bright ambient light either. The rf602's receivers have AAA batteries which is a great feature. Other systems use Lithium cells that cost $5 each. Havent had to replace the receiver batteries in a full year of use. They are also fast enough to catch a hair flip or jump shot.
I have two Vivitar 283's. A Digital multimeter on one reads 300 volts at the connector. Not good for ANY digital system. The other newer 283 reads 5 volts. I trashed the one with 300 volts it's a dinosaur.
