Taking a trip out in the rain, sometimes result in abstract pictures
like this one!

I liked the grainyness of this picture. It also gives me good
memories as I remember the ferry-trip from Seattle to Bainbridge
Island last summer--what a great place!

This is a pic from the exhibition 'Another Place', by Anthony
Gormley, that was displayed on Sola Becah just outside Stavanger in
Norway. It's originally a color-slide from a Fujichrome Sensia 100. I
desaturated it in Photoshop 5.5 and added some cyan and contrast to
it. Any comments?

Thank you for taking time to comment on my picture. It's really not unsharp, but it might seem so since I boosted it up using 'levels' in Photoshop 5.5.

Thank you, Barry! As I remember it, I probably used my camera (a Nikon F100) in aperture-priority and f-stop 8. That is actually my favourite setting and I tend to use it a lot, but I might be wrong on this one. I also think it was a rather sunny day. Cold but sunny--that's Minnesota. Now I'm back in Norway and it's the same--cold but sunny! Thanks for your comment--I always like it when people find my pictures interesting!

Thanks for your interest in my picture. Actually, it is a boathouse just outside Stavanger in Norway! The amount of grain is due to the use of the K2 filter and the SFX film--which is supposed to give infrared effects, but I'm not sure it's doing it the way I want it to be.

Sorry for all the dust on the scan, and for the size: but what do you
think?

I was out trying a new film, Ilford SFX 200, with a Hoya K2yellow
filter. I liked the result from it--do you?

Thank you for taking time to comment on my picture, but most of all thank you for liking it! I'm sorry I didn't make a bigger scan this time, but I'll update my folder with one soon! I'm a member of a Norwegian photosite as well (www.foto.no), and I followed the standards from there when I made the scan! I don't have a print from it yet, it is only scanned from a colorslide and it is desaturated in Photoshop 5.5.

I liked your idea, but I think this picture is suffering a lot from lack of space around it. I'd like to see more of the surroundings! Right now it could just as well be a painting on the wall...

Not quite Ansel Adams, but I had him in mind when I pulled the
trigger on this one.

Tried to do something like Harry Callahan on this one...did I make it?
-
Tried to do something like Lee Friedlander here!

Nice. Really nice!
and here's even one for Seattle too...
