Mike & Phil, I don't think I'll be doing the flashy-thingy with a 6+ foot tall - 500 lb. bear unless he's behind bars. Wife was going slightly nuts as I stepped outside to take the pix. Since this guy lives in the woods behind us, we do have an air horn to discourage him from getting too close. As you might expect, nobody in the neighborhood has bird feeders out any more.</p>

<p>I can play with No. 3 in Lightroom to get some of the "haze" out, but the first 2 are useless. Suggestions are welcome.</p>

<p>I've had several instances where, when taking an image in either full Program or a Preferred mode, the image is hugely overexposed to the point of being blown-out and useless. I have put ISO sensitivity control to "manual" but the issue still arises. It has happened with different lenses and different lighting situations (bright foreground or bright background).<br>
I can post examples if that would help.<br>

But I print (or try to) only by Canon.<br>
Bought a Pixma Pro-100 printer last November as they began to come out. Prints were exceptional but . . .<br>
I don't print every day or even every week, and ran into an issue with the print head clogging. First call and the Canon rep spent better than an hour with me last March going through various routines that, for a time, worked to solve the issue. This month half the inks refused to print. 2nd call . . .Canon replaced the print head . . .<br>
Samo.<br>
Third call to tech service . . "We're very sorry for you problem, send "x" to this address to confirm purchase date, please. We're sending you a whole new printer. Please just pack the old one in the box and send it back using the prepaid UPS label that will come by email."<br>
<br />Clearly, these guys know something about customer service!</p>

<p>Went to a family gathering for a older cousin, a professor of photography, last week. Told him I'd bring the equipment so he could be "in the pictures" for a change. Relied on my 800's resolution and low light capability to wander around making available light images. Here, our host, a dedicated pool-shooter, gives a lesson in applied geometry to the next generation. D800, ISO 1000, 70mm @ f/3.5, 1/80, then cooled off a smidge in LR.</p>
