Well, I hope you continue to use the super long, ultra wide and ultra fast occasionally, Louis - you contributions to the FD pages are always most appreciated.

-

And great to see some shots from you again, Louis!
Hard to beat the Bokeh of the 400/4.5!

No doubt Canon extenders are well worth the cost compared to cheaper 3rd party makers. I really regret leaving my Canon 2xB on a mountain many years ago. "Replaced" it with a 7-element Kenko extender which I thought would be at least acceptable, but the results are not even that.

I think that's your best moon shot on this forum yet, Bill - it's an absolute stunner!
Looking forward to seeing more from your 300/4 L.

That sounds like a really interesting assignment!
Some really nice shots David, very creative and certainly shows what is possible with a single prime lens...

Hi Alex,
I like the first shot particularly - the delivery van brake lights really activate it!
By coincidence, this month I had also planned to show an old night image from many years back - this is ALL multi-exposure on one single frame using the A-1's lever (no Photoshop here)...the tricky thing was remembering which bits of the frame I had already used. I wasn't sure what would be suitable for the all-important center and left it until last, but then found the "Tengu-san" restaurant sign which seemed to do the trick. Better than a dry-cleaning sign anyway!

Nice composition Bill - I've never seen one of those bugs on a black background before; really displays the green nicely...

Another very effective shot with this unique lens, Jim - thanks very much for sharing it.

Thanks Bill - actually, the third one is a different actress (rather minor supporting role) who spent most of the time on the sidelines...

Spot-on timing, Bill...just like human teens, noisy and soon bigger than the parents!

Yawning or roaring, I'm not quite sure, Alex! Good timing!
Last month I tried Fujichrome Provia 400X for the first time, and liked it a lot. Expensive film, but the colours are very good for my taste, and it scans a lot more easily than color negative film for me at least. All shots are of Japanese theatre with the ever wonderful nFD 200/2.8 IF, aperture wide open and handheld at 1\250:

A beautiful shot against the bokeh green.

Thanks Bill - it was actually my 11 y.o. daughter's suggestion, so I'll pass on your thumbs-up to her :)

Canon FD Photo of the Month: November 2015

Nice prop, Bill - it contrasts nicely with the colour and softness of the bird.
Found 5 more rolls of Provia 400X at a small local camera shop, so I can enjoy this film a little longer.
The shots below were taken at the famous shrine at Nikko:
