    Montañana

          11

Montañana is a small village almost deserted, located in the province

of Zaragoza, by the Noguera Ribagorçana river.

This is an HDR made from 3 hand held captures (1/50, 1/125, 1/250 sec.).

    Thanks for your time.

  1. RADU, CHRIS: Thanks for your kind words!
SIEGFRIED: I'm glad you like it! This shot was made with an unmodified Canon EOS 5D Mark II, but I must say that taking IR photography is much more than just "attach the filter and adjust exposure"... Visible light and IR have different wavelengths, so focus point varies when attaching IR filter (if you don't have it in mind, you will get blurred photos). There is also the issue of white balance, which must be adjusted to "customized" using as a model a blurred picture of some green object (grass, i.e.) taken with the IR filter on (but this is not very important if you shoot with RAW, anyway). Also, I recommend using a focal of f / 8 and an ISO no higher than 200-400. And finally, there's, of course, a hard post-processing...! I attach the original, so that you can see the image I got straight from the camera, and compare it with the final result. OF COURSE, I'm not an expert with IR photography, and there are many, lots of very good stuff out there, but if you think that I can help you any way, send me a message. Best regards!
