I just wanted to chime in here that 35mm film is still relevant and I don't care how much you can compare costs, isn't it about the final image quality that matters to the photographer? Now when is my T12 gonna be shipped?

Thanks for the PM re:C1 tripod combination. I realized that all my film holders are actually the wooden framed style. The are completely smooth with no indentations etc. It seems you corrected the problem. I was inspired to use my C1 and got 4 or 5 nice paper negative exposures.. I love that camera! Best of luck.

I recently purchased my 45D for 150.00 with lens board and back from a friend. I think the price is perhaps slightly on the high end but would be a great entry level system.

I use the same camera with plastic film holders and so far have not experienced that problem. I just need to find a better tripod. What tripod head/plate are you using?

I very recently hand processed four 4x5 negatives in a tray. I finished fixing the images and was so excited to see the results because the digital captures we're very nice...so I turned onthe lights and first sheet was totally clear! Well I thought I must have screwed that one up then one after another all clear.... I soon realized I had inadvertently mixed up the developer and the fixer... won't make that mistake again...

My opinion is that the f/1.2 kicks over the f/1.8 in almost every imaginable way. In fact the f/1.2 even kicks over a lot of more expensive glass.
