1.
I am late to the game as I have been away from home for two days. This picture is hot off the press ... It was taken yesterday while I was strolling, with my family, on one of the streets in the Niagara on the Lake region.
D700 + 105mm 2.8f micro lens; Shot at 1/1000s, f5 and ISO200. Ok, my weekly "assignment" is done. Now I am going to the top of this post to enjoy the thread 8>

00UKIQ-168073584.jpg.a0a5c98aea6e6048896567cdd762cace.jpg

 2.
I am trying a complete different route this week ...
This picture was taken last year when I visited my mom, whose health has gone the wrong direction gradually over the years. I took her out to a nice lunch and made a stop at the market while she waited. As I turned and saw this scence, I just shot this picture kind of candidly. I must confess that I picked this picture based more on my emotion attached with the subject than technical merits.
Hope you all don't mind my little story.
Photo was taken with a D90, 18-200mm lens; ISO200, f16, 1/60s

00UFpA-166351884.thumb.jpg.d0c71daac45a00382517f99ed9e72b58.jpg

 3.
Jeannean, thanks for your compliment on my photo. And, most impressive of all, your relentless efforts in providing commenting on all these wonderful photos. Looking forward to the next Wednesday showcase.

 4.
I contributed early this morning but the hosting site (or just my gallery?) was down so the picture did not show for the better of the day. Now it's back up running again. Please go back there and check again (under the name "Lawrence Ho"). Thanks.

 5.
Epp,
Just curious, how much you paid for the battery you got from that eBayer? Did you compare that to the price you would need to pay buying from an authorized dealer? The reason I asked is that there are reports of fake batteries selling on online stores/websites and they are very very difficult to tell from the genuine one. The "Nikon" sticker does not mean its a genuine Nikon product.
I sent in my D90 to Nikon Canada (in Toronto) once for repair (the infamous f-- problem) and it took about a month before I got it back. Too long? Yes, it may be but I found their customer service ok to deal with. Good luck to your endevour to look for a more "responsive" camera manufacturer.
