  1. Great use color and line. Even though it has the potential to be distracting, I think that by going B&W on everything except the door, you toned it down very tastefully. Also, the lines are linear the way this is presented, addding the the simplicity.

I realy had to look hard at this one. I like it very much. At first I was unsure if it was a fence or what, but in the end it left me in an older time, or maybe just more primative time! Good job!
  2. I am just learning, but a few things struck me about this one. First I don't know that the subject centered realy did this one justice. Perhaps the boat in the lower right hand corner would balance the shot better although may have required too wide of an angle and loss of detail. Second, it looks like you suffer from the same scanner woes as I as the photo apears dark and the highlights moddeled. My scanner is a cheap one and causes me the same heartburn allthough I am afraid that the only answer is for me to buck up for a better one!

I don't know that I am realy qualified to comment, but I like what I see. When I looked at the thumbnail I did not notice the buildings in the background and I had a completely different view...a lone tree in a field againsed a dramatic sky. When viewing the full size photo, with the buildings, I had that same feeling justaposed agained an urban landscape. Great work!
