A really nice antique shop in Queeche Vertmont. The door is a bright hue of red, i chose to block off all the other color and just leave the red door. The color to me is amazing, but what do you think?

A beautiful red door in Queeche Vermont. There is a beautiful

antique sales house here. The building itself is spectacular. There

are at least 3 different architectural styles on the building, since

they have all been added on at different times. I chose to turn the

photo into greyscale and only keep the color of the door in the

middle of the frame. Technically it was a basic shot. Apeture of

f5.4 was used. Standard polarizing filter used as well. Thats about

it, lemme know what you honestly think. Any feedback would be

greatly appreciated

Great use color and line. Even though it has the potential to be distracting, I think that by going B&W on everything except the door, you toned it down very tastefully. Also, the lines are linear the way this is presented, addding the the simplicity.

My eye is drawn to the dark shadow above the door, not where I'd expect to end up. Since your already digitally editing, try adjusting the tone of this area lighter and see if it works better.
