1.
Gup, that's the view from the top of "The Crack" trail in Killarney Provincial Park! It's definitely a fun hike to reach. We tried to do it again this past summer, but a stubborn black bear wouldn't get off the trail, so we gave up...

 2.
Travelling for work last weekend in Canmore Alberta, I looked out of my hotel window and saw a herd of elk. I grabbed my camera and rushed out for a couple of quick shots. Otherwise, I had beautiful scenery, but the light was only good while I was in meetings...

00aBsz-453133584.jpg.0193c6200ff04c94b0240d0d3dc068f6.jpg

 3.
Haig: Thanks; she's one of my favourite subjects - for obvious reasons of course, but also because, unlike many kids, she keeps a natural expression when posing for the camera.
John: Perfect detail in the cat's eye. Bob, nice colours and contrast.

 4.
Some early fall colour from a visit to a farm this weekend. Both with the K200D and 18-55 kit lens. The close-up is a PS Elements exposure merge of 3 shots, due to high contrast from the bright sunlight.

00ZNn5-401409984.jpg.1442b50487870265cae110cd816aefc0.jpg

 5.
#3: My son demonstrating how not to paddle a canoe. No, he didn't fall in. Yes, he does know how to do it right. K200D, Sigma 70-300 APO DG zoom at 70mm, f/4.5, 1/180sec,
ISO 100.

 6.
Before and during the fireworks at the waterfront on July 1. Happy Canada Day! (and an early Happy 4th of July for our American friends). Both with the K200D and 18-55 zoom in bulb mode (!). First the before:

00YzJl-376069584.JPG.e2418809176e1e2e3c74a23746313899.JPG

 7.
I think Andrew is correct. Does the exposure counter advance when you wind the film (door closed)? My Program Plus will show 1000 on the LCD until the exposure counter has reached the number one, then it switches to showing the metered shutter speed and aperture. I think it's designed to speed up the initial film advance which, if you have the lens cap on, could lead to very long wait times due to long exposures. Take several blank pictures until the counter reaches 1 and see if the meter starts working.

 8.
Beautiful shots everyone, Justin and Javier in particular; Dorus: creepy indeed!
I hung around with my son's Scout troop tour of the HMCS Haida, a WWII vintage Canadian Navy Destroyer, now a National Historic Site in the harbour at Hamilton, Ontario. Both photos using the K200D, 18-55 II kit lens.

00WWdk-246515584.jpg.f3b16c1ae1a35f389953a7fd6c5c697c.jpg

 9.
I noticed a small abandoned cemetery on a drive today. Both with K200D - the first with the Sigma 70-300 APO DG and the second with the 18-55 kit lens.

00WKIj-239281584.thumb.jpg.701fe4087cadc576ea465f7e3dcdddf6.jpg

 10.
Dave, an impressive collection, for sure. I like the outdoor street views the best. I think you make a great ambassador for both Pentax and Spain, because you make me want to go there myself.
